Jeannette
I have a .ttf font which wrks fine on any other programme on my mac (Monterey 12.0.1) but not in Publisher (not on Photo neither). It is the first time I have this problem. I checked, everything is up to date, of course I tried to restart the computer. Any ideas what it can be ? It only shows the first letter if I keep it in small letters... Thanks in advance, I would be really happy to figure this out. Not much helpful I guess: On Windows the font works in APu. How about removing the font and installing again? The font also works in AD on iPad, although the kerning between pairs of capital letters is rather poor. Staff Lee D Posted August 5, 2022 Staff Share Posted August 5, 2022 Hi @Jeannette welcome to the forums. I downloaded a version installed on tested in Publisher on macOS Monterey (12.4), see screenshot. Have you tried to reload or get a different version? kenmcd
On 8/5/2022 at 4:03 AM, Jeannette said: Any ideas what it can be ? The font includes some OpenType features which are On by default. Other applications do not support these features or have them Off by default. Which is why you do not see this in the other applications. Open the Typography panel, look for Positional Alternates, and disable Initial Forms, Final Forms, and Isolated Forms. Then your text will go back to "normal." This is where some font documentation would be helpful. Note: I tested the v1.010 from Google Fonts (today). Some of the older versions from other font websites do not have these features. kenmcd
@Lee D The Typography panel sub-heading is different on the Mac vs. Windows On MacOS it is: Word Position Forms On Windows it is: Positional Alternate These should be the same. Please file an issue. Thanks. MacOS Windows Edit: also just noticed Ligatures vs. Ligature (no s) - should probably check all of them.
