Ok yeah Ctrl+click on Mac is delete too. On MAC the tool tips say "CMD to use Node tool", but in reality (as you can see in the vid) you don't "really" leave the pen tool, you're just able to access the node tool's capabilities on the fly. It's not literally switching back and forth.

But if the Pen Tool is the current one, then to delete a segment you have to use both CTRL & CMD to do that, CMD to temporarily switch to the Node Tool & CTRL to use that tool's delete segment option. JimmyJack
So, on a PC, in a vector drawing program, there's no way to add a point while drawing? One literally has to switch tools?? That's hilarious!! 🤣😂

But, as explained in the link above, an "update" to the Node Tool had the unintended consequence of breaking that.

The difference is on Macs we can temporarily switch to the Node tool via the CMD key modifier & still have an additional modifier key available (CTRL) to use in combination with CMD to use the delete segment function of the Node Tool. In Windows there is no way to do that using the Pen Tool because adding a node using the CTRL key modifier was changed to the delete segment function. Basically, Windows needs an 'extra' modifier key to do what the Mac version can do. Komatös
Exactly, pressing CTRL only allows you to move the nodes and their handles. If you then click point on a segment between two nodes, the mouse pointer gets a red x. If you made a mistake and want to add nodes in the middle of the path to fix it, you need to switch tools.
