What happens when you try to open it?

Does it just hang?
Do you get any error message?
Does it crash and generate a crash report?
Do a dozen monkeys start tap dancing on your keyboard?

same issue by me.
Windows 10 (newes version).

Starting Affinity Photo, opening 1 RAW file. I can see the file just for a secund, after this second the programm crashed.

If I'm opening a file over drag and drop its worked.

But the program crashed by this actions:

- open a file over menu

- open a file by new Pannorama, can generate a Panno as a preview after a click on OK the programm will crashed

- open a file by new stack

- open a file by HDR

- open a file focus kombination

- open a file by astro

I think it's everytime the same point open a CR2 File over menu....

But if I'll open a JPG, NEF or CR3 file it's work fine. By file format from Canon (CR2) and PhaseOne (IIQ) it's will crashed every time (open over File-Menu).

Best Regards

Ralf

Hm, not at all, but this here dosn't works.

Have a interessant news. If you have open a other file, open via drag and drop, than you can open this both files and generate a HDR file for eg.

I can load the file OK in the retail and beta versions. Have you tried disabling hardware acceleration and seeing if that works? Also, if you get a crash, can you take a look in

%APPDATA%\Affinity\Photo\1.0\CrashReports\reports

To see if there are any crash dumps in there?

@Mark Ingram

Have installed the new update, but the same problem.
Do you have new information for me?

Hi, thanks for the crash reports. I've investigated them and I can see they're caused by Capture One. Unfortunately this is a known issue, where their Windows Explorer Integration can cause crashes in the NVIDIA driver (https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/44770-issues-caused-by-third-party-software/). The solution is to rename the WIC64 folder inside their installation folder.

hey, I'm having the sam8502b678-9268-4030-a47c-dde49fd2f379.dmpe issues. I can only see the splash screen for a second and it disappear. I've tried to update my NVIDIA driver and downgrade the windows too. I also tried to re-install the apps for a couple times but it doesn't work. I have checked for dmp files and there are so many .dmp files. crash.zip

Thanks for the crash dumps, I've taken a look and it's crashing inside your Intel graphics driver (igdrclneo64.dll). I suggest an uninstall and reinstall of the latest available drivers to see if that fixes it.

thank you so much! it's running again as usual, big thankss 🤩
