Tone Map crashes Photo

Photo iPad 1.9.0.211 beta

Just open an image and select "Tone Map", it crashes immediately. 

-- Window 11 - 32 gb - Intel I7 - 8700 - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060
-- iPad Pro 2020 - 12,9 - 256 gb - Apple Pencil 2 -- iPad 9th gen 256 gb - Apple Pencil 1
-- Macbook Air 15"

Agreed, tone map on any image crashes iPad on my iPad Pro 9.7”. Using iPadOS 14.4 beta this time.

 

My dad always told me, a bad workman always blames their tools….

Some observations:  Tone mapping has some pecularities.  Other then these where I have not selected and appropriate layer to apply Tone Mapping it seems to be working just fine for me.

In the first video note that it Tone Maps an active pixel layer used to remove object on the photo. 

Second video

 

it crashes when an active pixel layer used to remove objects is selected, same process as outline in first vid above.  It then crashes as well when another active pixel layer used to paint on the image.

But only when an active adjustment layer used for brightness and contrast adjustment does it stop and acknowledge that I’m using the wrong layer

Just to let you know that tone mapping is still crashing in the way that I outlined above. 
I would hope that if a user does something inappropriate that it shouldn't  crash the app.
