Robby Poole Posted November 6, 2020 Posted November 6, 2020 I don't believe this has been covered...... sorry if it has. I searched and saw nothing. This suggestion is for all 3 apps, not just Publisher. There is currently a "New Document" button on the start up screen, which is great. Except that when I open an Affinity app, 75% of the time I am opening a project currently in progress. Why not also have a list of your most 4 or 5 recent files? Currently, I open Publisher (or Photo, or Designer), and I have to close the start up screen them go to File > Open Recent > (document I need to work on). It would be super handy to just click there on the start up screen to view my most recent versions. Robby Quote
carl123 Posted November 7, 2020 Posted November 7, 2020 Not sure if you are aware but there is an option in Preferences called Reopen document on startup Which, if selected, bypasses the start up screen and reopens ALL documents that were open when you last exited the app. Quote To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum. Hi @Robby Poole, 1) This has been suggested several times before. 2) You don't have to close the start up screen to go to the recent files list. 3) There is an option to turn off the start up screen completely so some users had to rely on the recent files list only. Nevertheless I do support this request because to me, too, it seems to be an obvious thing. And the iPad apps already have this 🙂 Cheers, d. Quote Affinity Suite on Windows (V2) and iPad (V2).
