I have a Fuji X-E3 and it will open the RAF files. I find that Capture One 12 for Fuji does a better job at raw conversion as it built for Fuji cameras, it's free from the Capture One site,  hope this helps.

Yes, Capture One is much much better than Photo to RAW files from Fuji.

I’ve just read a review stating that (thanks to firmware upgrades) there is now no functional difference between the X-T1 Graphite Silver and the original model which has a black body.

Internally, yes and externally (to customer/beta testers) I can only say "hopefully" as it depends on whether it passes initial testing.

Thank you for your response. To be a little more specific, while support is there, the real question is how well does Affinity demosaic a Fujifilm  X-Trans raw file? Results appear to vary amongst raw processors. This is the deciding factor for whether I give Affinity a try. Thanks again. BTW, I use an X-T4.

Why do you need a deciding factor for that? The trial only lasts for seven days, but it’s free.

Even though this topic is a bit old, I have a current problem with Affinity Photo (1st version, 1.10.8 on macOS 15.4.1).

When I open my RAW files of my Fujifilm x-T5 (latest firmware) , I see a black border on the right-hand side of every image. It looks as if the sensor is damaged. But other programs display the RAW correctly. Only Affinity Photo does not. In this respect, I assume a software problem in the previous version. Now I have 2 questions:
1. will there be an update of Affinity Photo (version 1) regarding this?
2. and if not and I buy Affinity Photo 2 - does the problem also exist there?

Welcome to the forums @Meisinotti

The answer to question 1 is no. Version 1 is no longer getting bug fixes or new features.

As for question 2, as Alfred suggested above, you can try Version 2 on trial for free for seven days to see if that works for you (a post by Patrick above seems to suggests that it might).

If Version 2 doesn’t do what you want then it might do so in the future, at some point, but Serif rarely tell us about their plans for new features and fixes beyond what is announced in the beta releases.

V2 opens RAWs downloaded from https://www.dpreview.com/sample-galleries/2421645301/fujifilm-x-t5-production-sample-gallery-dpreview-tv/2613811432

without issues, both with Apple RAW and Serif RAW.

but it might depend on chosen parameters like RAW compression - this is a thing for other camera brands where some advanced methods may be still unsupported, when old fashioned uncompressed RAW works fine.
