  1. I have found the problem. It is a problem with the i9 14900k processor that is causing all kinds of issues for people. I also had a completely unrelated issue with MS Word - in solving that, this problem was also solved. I am not that techy, but basically, there is an issue with the processor going overboard with some programmes and triggering the 6ghz boost. As someone else put it, it is like someone suddenly speeding up and tripping over their own feet! The solution is (in an asus MB) to go to BIOS, Advanced, AI Tweaker, set it to manual, sync all P cores, then adjust the core ratio from original ("auto") to around 55-58. I set it at 55. To be honest, I have noticed no slowing down in the system at all, but this and other problems have been solved. I had one issue - once I set it, it wouldn't start first time. So I held the power button down, then restarted. It went into the error screen, asking for you to press F1. I did, it went into BIOS, I exited, and it started perfectly. But I haven't seen anyone else have that issue, so that may be peculiar to me. I hope this helps anyone else who is having issues with the 14th gen i9. Note - some had this with 13th gen too, but that seems very rare.
  2. Sorry - nearly missed this. It is happening with anything I try. EG: I open a jpg in photo, then press the tone mapping profile, and Affinity crashes. The one I tried was a photo 3885px x 2592px. I don't get a chance to try any tone mapping settings. I just disabled OpenCL and restarted, and the problem is still there. The crash report folder is empty. (Using the MSIX version)
  3. Hi, Walt. It only did that the once. The other times it just crashes AP. I think it froze Windows as an afterthought!! I have checked all my drivers and they are up to date, so I think it is an AP problem
  4. I am trying to tone map a large image. Three attempts. On two it crashed Photo. On the other it crashed Windows 11 - it froze. When it crashes Photo, it shows the progress bar for tone mapping for a few seconds, then closes Photo. I have just updated to the most recent version. I have tried on three other images - same problem. System: i9 14900, 128gb ram, 2070 graphics.
  5. I know that Stage Manager support is not there yet, but when it comes, would it be possible to put a preview screen on an external monitor that is zoomable? For instance, I am drawing a character. While I am working on its face, the current preview is of the whole document, so the face is very small and of no help at all. An option to be able to zoom into a specific area on the preview on a large, external monitor, would be very powerful.
  6. Well, you took the risk. At no point have I suggested that I wished to hack the software. I suggest you take your accusation back immediately. I do not hack, pirate or otherwise destroy other people’s work. Indeed, I have used and paid for Serif’s products for many years, long before their current offerings. I only wished to use the icons on a private remote that I use to help control the software at home. I have obtained them from their publicly available PDF. I expect an apology.
  7. Found them! I just found an updated Keyboard Cheat Sheet for V2. Happy now! Edit - erm, how do I edit the OP title so I can add [Solved] to it?
  8. Thanks, DWright. A pity. I was hoping to put them into my remote.
  9. Thanks, @Michail What I am looking for are the icons for the tools like brushes, personas, pens, and so on. I suspect they are stored in a .dll sile in the affinity app folder.
  10. I am using Touch Portal to control various bits on my PC from my iPad Pro. I want to create pages for the Affinity apps. Is there anywhere I can find the icons for the v2 apps? I had a look in Windows Apps folder, but I could only find the main application apps.
  11. Just to add that I am not getting any other performance issues (that I am aware of).
  12. And it gets worse. If I have used the Blemish Removal Tool for several blemishes, then it slows down all the other operations in the develop persona too.
  13. When I use the Blemish removal tool in Develop persona, the more little blemishes I remove, the slower it gets. After a while, Photo 2 even momentarily goes into "not responding" for each one. I am trying to move little flecks of ash from the attached screenshot, and it is taking ages! After the number of little corrections (these are single clicks of the tool) it is taking around 8 seconds to process each one - very slow! This is a NEF file. I am on Windows 10 (latest), on a i9 with 64gb ram and a GTX 2070
  14. Interesting discussion this, especially about whether their business model is sustainable. It appears to be perfectly sustainable to me without any need to even consider subscription or charging for updates between major versions. The market out there for this price level of product is vast, (potentially bigger than for Adobe simply because it is lower cost). I doubt they are running out of potential customers, or anywhere close. And each time they add more features or make the apps more powerful, that opens up another raft of potential customers. Just look at how often new forum members appear, and remember, like with other apps, the large majority of users will never register for the forum. Going by Serif's last submitted accounts, they are a very healthy, bouncy little company! And so they should be. They have a good, solid history behind them. I and my piggy bank are definitely looking forward to V2 without complaint.
