Slice Export to Folder not Working iOS 12

Oooh - just ran into this one too. I thought I was going mad. Looking forward to a fix - pah-lease!
  2. Hi, I am suffering from exactly this issue at the moment. It would be lovely to not just minimize it but to be able to move it around depending on what I am doing.
  3. I am very new to this arty game, but I am learning. I am using Photo on both iPad and Windows, swapping between the two on the same project mostly out of interest. I am loving both, but the iPad has some advantages which I would love to see on the desktop version. I am using it with a Huion KAMVAS GT-191 and pen, so in a similar way to using the iPad. (though I can spin it around quite so easily!) Note: This project (below) is a simple paint job, though I am using a couple of curves for layout. Brush Toolbar On the iPad, having the pen-orientated toolbar at the bottom of the screen is wonderful - very intuitive and quick. I would love to see an optional version of that for the desktop. It would speed me up, not just for colour selection, but brush size and so on. Bigger Colour Wheel Is there a way of increasing the size? On my Huion it is small (and I have old eyes!) and not so nice to use. On photoshop I tended to use the colour box and slider, but that is small on Photo too. Show/Hide Pixel Selection I use this a lot on the desktop, but is there an equivalent on the iPad version? I can't find it and it helps me mucho! Rotate Canvas On the iPad, I can spin it around easily to help me draw. My Huion is a little heavy for that! Rotating the canvas using view > rotate is not exactly quick. It would be wonderful to have a kind of pen-friendly trackpad, perhaps as part of the Navigator panel where I can spin it around happily. Anyway, just a few thoughts - I am sure these have all been covered a billion times already. Loving this more and more. I stlll have photoshop, but I am using it less. Mostly for legacy files with multiple artboards (which I would love to see on Photo) and because of the Asset Library.
  4. At the moment, as far as I can see, if you create a new doc, if you save by export you now have two versions. The exported version wherever that is, plus the original one still in the dashboard of Affinity photo/designer. So, to save confusion, you now need to get rid of the original, and then import your exported version. And so on. What I am suggesting is streamlining that process.
  5. At the moment, the way file management works if you are using any other storage than On my iPad or iCloud is a little complicated. There have been several threads about this I have read. So, this is just my suggestion about how it could work. It involves the addition of a "Save to" command both within the edit interface and within projects. So, for instance, you create a new document within a project and it opens up in the editor as normal. Everything is the same. However, you now have Save To on the menu. Rather than save a copy, this will effectively move the file. So, I could choose to press Save To and then select somewhere on my OneDrive or pCloud. Two things happen. To start with, the file is saved to that location as an affinity photo file, and secondly, the project record is updated to now be as if you had imported from the cloud. Now, each time you save from the project, it saves to this new location. Likewise, you can achieve the same from the project. You can click on the hamburger and click on "save to." This will allow you to choose any legitimate location and it will move the file and update the project entry for the file to reflect the change of location and how the file is updated. This reduces the complication of working with cloud locations considerably and allows moving files around while not changing the entries in a project or having to move them in the Files app and then re-import them or using Save a Copy and having to re-import them. Anyway, just a thought.
  6. Okay, this is probably in here somewhere (but I am new!) When I "Open from Cloud," and then choose OneDrive, it tells me, rather confusingly: "Opening from iCloud." Which it isn't. Confusing this old bloke! Oh, and hello everyone!
  7. Ah - so you are using save a copy and not save. Thanks, DM1
  8. The test file was a new file. The only way I can save anywhere else is use save a copy from within the actual app. Save in the home screen just saves to the my iPad location. Tried it with another new doc and it’s the same. I must be misunderstanding something.
  9. I'll try that! ... and a few minutes later... I changed the default to On My Ipad, but when I hit save on a test file, it just saved - it didn't give me any options. Files didn't open.
  10. It would be nice if it was expanded to include other cloud systems - I mean, so "save" allowed you to nominate where other than just iCloud and to my iPad. I already pay for OneDrive through office 365, and I have pCloud too. I don't want to start paying for extra storage on iCloud as well. But at least there is a workaround. Currently, I have a habit of creating the files on my desktop first and saving to where I need them for the project - then Open from my cloud storage on the iPad. Stunning software this, however.
  11. Sorry - not exactly an exciting screen shot! I had to choose a file big enough to give me a chance to get it. So this is opening from OneDrive. I assume the message is a default one rather than it actually knows where you are opening from. i was also trying to work out the workflow If I create a new file on the iPad which I want to work on via OneDrive. It seems I have to create it, save it to my iPad, then go to files, move it to OneDrive and then re-open it. Or is there a neater way? thanks!
