  1. Hi, Rebooting the iPad doesn’t solve the issue. Both AD2 and AP2 launched first, but sadly doesn’t make a difference. It happens both on my iPad Pro M1 256GB and my friend’s iPad Pro 2020. Latest iPadOS on both.
  2. It’s saddening to see a Russian coming here and complaining not that their compatriots are committing genocide and devastating war crimes in a illegal war (hence the ban of Affinity in Russia), but to complain that they do not get to live their lives like nothing really happens in Ukraine. Also, hats off to Serif (and others like them) for stepping up and standing to what’s right in a world that lost its mind (and common sense) completely. Kind regards
  3. You’re right as usual, but I think it’s highly unlikely that Affinity Publisher (and Studiolink) will come sooner than iPadOS 16 — which means after the (traditional) summer. I’m aware that Publisher for iPad is independent of Stage Manager but even so, big changes are lurking around Affinity for iPad and I think there’s a good chance that all are coming at once, in autumn, alongside iPadOS 16 (or at a later date).
  4. Good catch, although I think it’s in line with Affinity’s “coming soon” release date; it’s clearly not coming this summer so hopefully “later this year” means beginning of autumn when both Affinity Publisher and iPadOS 15 are ‘highly expected’ on the iPad.
  5. Care to elaborate? Where have you seen they’re delaying Publisher for iPad again? It’s still “coming soon” here — https://affinity.serif.com/en-us/publisher/ipad/
  6. Hi @dmtp14, Documents/ Flatten is only available for Affinity Photo.
  7. Hi @Alan9940, I see no reason why Merge Visible wouldn’t flatten all the layers (even with multiple adjustments) in a single, new raster layer. Is it happening with other projects too? Maybe you can record a video/post the file you have issues with here, so other users/mods to take a look at it?
  8. I’m a huge fan of the original Star Wars Trilogy too, and this is such an incredible composition, and both versions are absolutely fantastic! Ten times Yes for that, a night time version would look beautiful!
  9. I hope you Linux guys will eventually get Affinity working 100% through Wine. No harm done and Serif gets to sell even more copies at no extra development cost. There’s always some users being against stuff if it’s not benefiting them personally; when I asked for certain missing (and quite crippling) Affinity features on iPad I got the absurd response from a folk here that iPad doesn’t deserve better. Oh well.
  10. The last picture is a very nice cat portrait. Myself I share my home with two ferals (now they’re more or less stray and much more comfortable around humans). I don’t think it’s anything wrong with the way you shared your work here — Thanks for sharing!
  11. Erased; I was criticizing the iPad’s “save bug”; not hidden for the sake of replies’ context.

  13. Hi @BenjaminBugl and welcome to the forums I tried to join the curves with IPad Pro 2021 and it crashes every time. I moved the curves to a new document and it still crashes the app. Same thing happens with both Photo and Designer. I don’t think too many nodes is the issue but I have no idea why the crashes occur, sorry.
  14. Hi @Mike Swartzbeck, For the Save option to appear inside the document, you must first save the document from outside the project. The Save function does not appear if the document does not have a "physical" save over which you can save over. (I hope that makes some sense.)
  15. Hi @Mainecoon364, you need to activate the snapping function from Nod Tool as well (Snap to geometry of selected curves — will snap moving node to the same or different curve's path or node) https://affinity.help/designer/en-US.lproj/index.html?page=pages/Tools/tools_node.html?title=Node Tool (Scroll a bit to Snap — Controls node snapping)
  16. Hi @Antor and welcome to the forums I think this post might be useful for you: All the best!
  17. Hi @Mandu, You can add a vote for an Affinity iPad Light Mode here, if you wish It’s one of the most requested features, and something that personally I miss a lot; hopefully we’re not too far away of a release date
  18. Hi, Where did you get those rumors from? There are some (?) signals that Studiolink will be announced tonight for iPad (probably tied with the iOS 16 release date, so months away still) but I heard no rumors of 2.0.
  19. Seems that iPadOS16 will come packed with new wibbly wobbly timey wimey multitasking stuff https://9to5mac.com/2022/06/02/ipados-16-features-pro-users/ and we also know that StudioLink is coming to the iPad, along with Affinity Publisher. So a 100% wild guess, but I wouldn't be too surprised to see StudioLink featured in Apple's unveiling of its new multitasking modes; after all, Apple liked Publisher so much that it ‘leaked’ it for the first time with the iPad Air presentation
  20. [erased] Now I’m transitioning towards publishing and I’m only doing work with/for my partner’s small and local printing shop here in Brașov, Romania
  21. @Mark Freeman, I obviously have no more knowledge regarding 2.0 than you, or anyone else here, have. But according to an article published February 7 by aecmag Version 2 of the suite is due out in 2022 and promises to bring a slew of new capabilities. One customer who is beta testing V2 told (the author) will also make the switch from Adobe ‘even easier’ https://aecmag.com/technology/serif-affinity-for-aec-firms/ 2.0 being paid means that most of the criticism and missing features are going to be addressed, otherwise people would be reluctant to upgrade, I think? I agree with you that Serif would obviously have to address lots of iPad issues and missing features; no ability to import palettes, no rulers, no macro creation, (or that saving bug which continues to be a pain for almost 2 months instead being addressed day 1), and other issues and missing featured from the desktop software, will ‘surely’ have Serif’s full attention for the next iteration. How else would Serif convince people to upgrade? @MCFC_4Heatons, The lack of communication is upsetting, but I don’t believe Designer is at bottom of Serif’s priorities; maybe bringing Publisher and StudioLink (edit, to iPad) pushes everything else aside? About the conspiracy theories, I’d never bother to even joke about them. That’s where all the crap in this world takes form. Kind regards to both of you
  22. The whole Affinity Suite costs as much as “owning” Canva for a couple of months. I think that Canva will eat itself up, like all the other greedy subscription-based software out there. Affinity makes a strong argument that people are tired of borrowing (expensive) software. I think that with 2.0 this will become even more obvious.
  23. I add my +1 for this feature as well. As someone who tries to make a living being an iPad-only user, I do not have the free alternatives listed above (in a very unpleasant and aggressive manner). In fact there are no good true vector distort tool alternatives for iPad at all. Please don’t forget about us. All the best!
