5argon got a reaction from DmitryG in Undoing a symbol delete not fully revert child symbol's sync status
If I create a symbol on this artboard, and then delete it in the Symbol tab, the child will lose all it's orange line (correct) but on pressing Ctrl + Z, the child reverted to dashed orange line. (wrong)

All good here too (on mac OS) and can happily export slices from the original file...
It looks as though you are running AD on Windows so this should probably be moved to the Windows AD bug forum?

5argon reacted to Sean P in Brush aliasing is wrong depending on brush size
Thanks for the videos. I see what you mean now - I've looked into this and can see what you mean. It appears to be that any round brush with an odd number size will give you those tips, I also noticed that even number brushes are also 1 pixel off! I shall get this passed on to development to be fixed. Note the number is the pixel value of the brush and each red square represents 1 pixel (although the image has been scaled up) to make a 'pixel ruler'.
In the meantime you can work around this by setting the Spacing of the brushes to around 4%.
Regarding the brush showing the different results is likely that the way your adjusting the brush hardness and size is creating decimal pixel values that are getting rounded up/down. I believe there is an improvement with development that the Pixel Brush should always increment in whole pixels when using Keyboard Shortcuts and also the Brush Size modifier you were using.

    Hi @5argon,
    Sorry for the delayed reply.
This is caused by your Mitre having a really high value, and this "extends" past your canvas. We are aware of this and it has already been logged with our developers.
    Thanks,
    Gabe.

I'd love it if I could easily convert from Artistic Text to Frame Text with a click of a button or shortcut. I dislike having to create a new frame text and then copy the text out of the the artistic text box and past into the frame text box.

It does make sense, Matt, but maybe a little drawing will help in this instance …
Suppose you add a stroke to a rectangle shape, centered around the rectangle path, just as you did in your drawing.  Furthermore, imagine a circle drawn around a corner point A of that rectangle, such that the diameter of that circle equals the width of the stroke applied to the rectangle. Then the radius of that circle will stand in a ratio of 1 : 1 to one half of the stroke width. See the purple lines in my illustration. Now, when you set the mitre value of your stroke to 1, your stroke will be cropped by a tangent to the circle that is perpendicular to the diagonal from the corner point A to the corresponding corner point of the stroke. The purple non-dashed line of my illustration is part of that diagonal, and the radius of the circle is the geometrical equivalent of the mitre value in our case. And it is basically the same, when you apply a stroke to a non-rectangular polygon. See my second illustration. So when you increase the mitre value, you are basically increasing the radius of the circle. And when the ratio of the radius to one half of the stroke width becomes greater than 1.41 : 1 (which is the approximate ratio of the diagonal of a square to the side of that square), your stroke won’t be cropped anymore. Now, since the rectangles in your drawing are so small, you will have to go a bit further than the ratio of 1.41 : 1 in order to compensate for rounding errors, I guess …
Hope that is not only technically correct, but also makes sense …
    Alex

As Sean suggested, try to set the mitre value to 1.6 or the like, and you should be fine … at least, it is working here …

Saw this post and I registered just to praise the icon designer. The first impression is that it is really cutting-edge and professional. Love the high saturation color you use. (Also googled the old ones, personally I think that one feels like a generic discontinued single purpose junk app out there.. like "PNG convertor, Sprite Sheet Maker" or something)
I also didn't know about Affinity before but I have to cancel the CC subscription and looking for alternatives. In an instant I see the current icon I think it must be a really promising application and downloaded the trial.
