  1. I like Star Wars but I wouldn't consider myself a super fan. I can't tell what's a composite about this image so I would say that's the biggest compliment I can give. Great work!
  2. Good point. As I mentioned before, I think j3rry will be revisiting this a few times and tweaking it. The point about the color of the shadows is well taken.
  3. Much better (to an already great piece). Like any piece of art, artists will invariably revisit them and tweak here and there. In the eye of the artist, some pieces are never "done," rather, there may always be something that they think could be better/different color/ etc. Keep creating beautiful work.
  4. So cool on so many levels. The artwork is the key but the site is simple and well designed too.
  5. Cool. I'd refine the Buddha and the lamb's shadows. Also, if the lamb is staying where place, I'd put some shadow on his face/head as it's standing in the shadows that are cast on the ground. Quite soothing and serene to look at.
  6. Cosmically outrageousness on a groovy scale not seen since the magical days of hippy dippy trippy Haight Ashbury circa 1967! Here's some tough love: I Like It. Amazing stuff going on in there. I'm getting a contact high looking at it. Let's see some more.
  7. I never knew how much I could enjoy a vector program until Designer. I was always fighting with Illustrator to the point that I'd only use it when necessary.
  8. VW could only DREAM of making a car this cool.
  9. Really love the juxtaposition against the grey backgrounds. The Bug truck and the "Thing" are standouts.
  10. Gradient is the word, I believe, you're looking for.
  11. Who knew the "Bug" could look so cool?! Nice work.
  12. I think as you become more familiar with Designer, controls and functions will be discovered as not everything is named the same or in the place where you may think it would be (especially coming from Illustrator). I used to loathe drawing with illustrator which is why I rarely touched the program for that function. Designer, to me, is much more intuitive, quicker, less buggy, and easier to navigate than Illustrator, and unlike Illustrator, I've NEVER experienced a crash with Designer (Last time I used Illustrator, crashing was almost constant. On super simple functions.). Love the illustration. Simple but detailed just enough.
  13. Absolutely love these. Very original style. Don't know the reason why by the hands are very engaging visually as well.
  14. I like the Spring issue. Seems more thought went into it. Only suggestion would be to make "Post News Spring 2022" about twice the size it is now. Keep up the great work.
  15. I'm hooked anytime there's even a hint of old Art Deco posters. Excellent job.
  16. A few more issues per year going forward as the parent company folded other magazines into Skin Art and Tattoo Revue. Here's the latest issue. Never at a loss for interesting stories and amazing artwork by these super talented tattoo artists.
  17. I LOVE your experiments. The flowing sink with the boat and the dolphins is a favorite. Fuscia water is an odd choice but I'm in love with the concept.
  18. I'm not quite sure what you mean, as all 3 of the Affinity programs have the ability to embed the fonts when exporting a PDF. On the "Save As" dialog box just click on "MORE" at the bottom and you can customize the PDF in just about any variation. Embedding fonts is at the bottom of the "MORE" dialog box. You can save customizations as Presets as well.
  19. Love this! Such a positive vibe (everything seems to be moving UP). Love all the little bits and pieces too (dinosaur, mermaid floating with the balloon, and especially the tentacles in the foreground exploring from the other side of the rocks!).
  20. Have to wonder why the first file has all of the text converted to curves when it's one of those projects where prices are subject to change. Just request the original file. You'll be able to edit in the original program (if you have it) or edit in Designer or whatever program you use to edit PDFs. There's really no other option in regards to the first file as it's basically all vector in it's presented state (as opposed to editable text with the font embedded in the PDF). When I've worked at print shops, we'd always instruct the clients to EMBED their fonts if they were providing a PDF or include the original source file (and fonts) if they required edits to the text.
