  1. Not sure it's about this. The problem can be tested without a server and different people working on the same file: Open a file (i.e. Test.afphoto) in AP and modify it, you can also open the same file in AD an modify it without warning and also in APub and modify it without warning... You can alternate modifying the file with one of the app and check the display in Explorer, it'll look like the last saved done in the last app used. When working alone, you usually avoid this, but when working with other people on servers, you want to be warned that a file is already in use and somebody's work won't erase somebody else work... Especially when sometimes you can only open a file just to check some proprieties or layers, modify visibily to check something else, and hours later, when thinking of closing the file, if it asks you to save it because it was modified (and since the history will have been modified), not remembering if you did something important, you'll save it. Probably erasing other people work. Strangely, I was able to save few times in each app, until at some point AP noticed the file was different. From this point, the other apps provided the same warning. So, next test: I close the file in one of the apps with the warning, and re-open it. I modify the file, I save it without problem, not knowing it's already in use by another app, without warning in this app. If the usual lock system with a warning about the file being already used by someone else/some other app existed, it wouldn't happen. As it is, it's not a problem when everyone work on servers on an open space, you just need to ask: "Who's using this file? I need to modify it also...", but with people working at different places, you begin dupplicating files, and sometimes for no reasons and it begins to be a problem, since the last one saved isn't always the one with the meaningfull modifications (i.e. only history modifications).
  2. Hi @Igor Cabral, The image was resize twice: its size is 1080×1080px and on screen is also resize to 598×598px. When I do a simple search on Google, I get this: So you'd better try to get nice images using the recommended sizes, and they won't be automatically down sampled to fit the requirements.
  3. Nice drawing, I'm just not sure about the colours, since it looks more burned than alive.
  4. You'll have to manually resize or crop the groups with a square the size of the image you need: testfile_v2.afphoto
  5. Yes, no need for you too to search it: https://www.freepik.com/free-vector/geometric-3d-shapes-hemisphere-octahedron-sphere-torus-cone-cylinder-pyramid_10412342.htm
  6. Hi @Phil P, You need to check the layer panel for this. But sadly, this file end up being a single image layer. I suppose it'll be vector only when opened in Illustrator.
  7. For this (and since you export to PNG it's not a problem), you need to add a stroke, before creating the slices: With 0% opacity, it won't be displayed, but the slices will remain with extra space around and export accordingly.
  8. Hi @sachinaddy In the Export persona, you can select layersand use the button "create slices", and later resize them. Or simply create them directly with the Slice tool: Or using the first method, if you use the transform panel, you can choosee the center point, lock the ratio H/W and add for example +20 pixels. Doing this on each slice will give same void around the objects.
  9. Yes, but it won't transform Gimp to an app able to open EPS as vector objects. Ghostscript is what I used as virtual printer before Windows added its own. It's able to convert some files to PDF and can get its own "printing settings". It's able to read PS, EPS and PDF. That's why its used in Gimp to "read" EPS and PDF as raster images. https://docs.gimp.org/2.10/en/gimp-using-external-programs.html Now, nothing prevent @Skyzlmt from instaling Ghostcript on Windows and using it (but the latest releases are without UI, only with command lines, unless you install PS_View, or GSview (the one I've got installed, and despite the page information, it's working with newer releases) that give a more rudimentary UI than in the past, sadly. It's able to convert to raster images (bmp, png, tiff), and I suppose it's was it's doing for Gimp. Using Ghostscript/GSview to convert EPS: Depending of the export settings in Illustrator, and probably the features used, you can have a nice EPS file: Or a bad one, that'll give error and only use the low resolution preview: The files opened in Gimp: only the 2 first images, real PS files, were correctly read. The other one is only a preview scaled according to settings (300 PPI). The files opened in AD: Ghostcript won't do any miracle, it'll depend of the file.
  10. Hello William, You just need a smartphone (or someone else's smartphone) to scan the QRcode while it's displayed on another screen.
  11. Please, show me a full editable vector in Gimp, sice usually it'll open EPS files as raster images of low resolution. Paths are only used in Gimp to create new selections.
  12. Yes, this problem was already mentioned, and since it's not always a solution to add a background colour just to try selecting the part we want, adding definitly or as an option the transparency would be important.
  13. Which app is it? AD? Try removing the Paragraph Panel, and inserting it again... Perhaps it's a bug in AD's UI.
  14. Hi @pomme27, Ask the printer about the profile needed for the files. It'll depend on the quality of the paper and of the printer used. Also, you can use the Generic CMYK profile (ot sure if it's the same as the one there use to be in QXD), and Assign a different profile later.
  15. For me, it depends also of the type of objects existing. Long ago, we only had text and picture frame... It was a pain to use one of those for a stroke on top and easily select/modify elements below (it was always selected first). Today, we can use frames without content in some apps, so it's easy to click through and select other elements. In APub, we can convert a rectangle to curves, but it's not the same. I didn't test this a lot...
  16. A really nice issue, text is readable without effects like strokes or shadows. Felicitations
  17. A lot of discussions about this already, but no modifications yet in the Swatches panel or way to manage Spot colours Etc. This panel need a lot of improvement, and a lot of problems and ideas were already written in the forum.
  18. Perhaps a complexe profile in PitStop or similar app server with a maximum warnings and errors.
  19. The app doesn't mind what you're doing with the colours. You ask it to convert colours, it converts. Now, if you assign a profile, it doesn't have to convert anything, and the colours keep their values. You don't mind what the default button is, just check that it kept the right profile
  20. Why is there a Layer1? Did you try without this layer? Why do you include bookmarks? PDF/X-1a for example doesn't allow interactive elements.
  21. Try to Assign a new profile, instead of converting the colours [edit] Do this with the document where Black = 100K [/edit]
  22. The tricks we need to use when it doesn't work as expected...
  23. You're right, and trying other effects don't help, since there's bugs, or some options to mix them are needed
