Can Affinity make smart objects? My daughter wants to take a picture of clothing apparel and then add logos to them and have the logos show folds etc to make it look like it was the actual product.
If so can you explain how or point to a tutorial?

Definition of ignore - refuse to take notice of or acknowledge.
In the future, if they ever even put out a roadmap with this feature on it that will change the comment, but as of this second, the feature is ignored. It seems to be a very popular request, and it would be nice if Serif would simply reply one way or the other.

Can't Adobe InDesign do ePub? QuarkXPress can. I never used Pageplus, but it says it can.
Ultimate eBook Creator is cheap and made to create epub. So why is Affinity ignoring this feature?

All the big name publishing program have epub, as well as many of the lesser ones. If you do not add it to the planning now it may never get added.
Even the old Pageplus could export to epub. Sure leave out a feature that many people want and watch the lack of features in the reviews.

Please add ePub. I am confused how you can have a publishing program without looking to the future of paperless documents.
At this point, I do not think it is even on the todo list.

I am a little confused about the more technical side of publishing programs, and how APub fits in. So my question is could APub be used to set up a graphic novel or comic book for print? In the past, I have use Clip Studio. Great for drawing and page setup, but the lettering was a little disappointing.

Hoping that is the same as their other programs. But wouldn't that be great if they put a sale price out the first week?
Or even now, as a Beta buy.

I am seeing a lot of major complaints the first day.
You need to remember this is a beta, the same program we all have been begging for a release in any state. I have beta tested a lot of programs and you need to be in the right mindset. So just sit back and enjoy the ride. APub is really a pretty piece of software and already had some features better than InDesign. And you ever tried to put text along a path you know what I mean
I hope the rest of you are having as much fun as me exploring APub!

As for adding InDesign import, it would be unwise for them to give any more release dates. I am sure they learned a valuable lesson for APub's release.
My advice is to spend the time to get to know the program and let the process happen.

I just saw a post "Affinity Publisher beta for Mac slated to arrive before end of August". Did they just leave out the PC, or will this release only be a Mac Beta for the end of August?

All these questions are for digital page creation for a printer.
1 What is the standard size sheet to work with to make comic books? **
2 Looking at this article if I want my page to be 11x17 do I actually make my page larger so that it can be cut down to 11x17? If so what size do I make my document? Or if this all for hand-drawn do I just make my digital 11x17 with no bleed?

**Aren't comic book pages printed double wide, and stapled down the middle? So why in most examples to I see them as a single frame/page?
