  1. Hi @Ron P.,

So far I've not been able to replicate this.  I've made well over 200 brush strokes using my Wacom and everything seems fine so far.  I was using a different brush as i don't seem to have the Fur & Hair vector brush, so i used one of the oil brushes.

Can you let me know where you got the Fur & Hair vector brush from and I'll try installing that and see if I can replicate this.

  2. Hi @Rhodomazer,

I've just tried to replicate this and haven't been able to with your EPS files or some of my own.

Can you just try this again but with Hardware Acceleration disabled, to disable this setting in Affinity, click Edit>Settings>Performance and untick Hardware acceleration at the bottom of this window and close Settings, you'll be prompted to restart Affinity and once restarted see if you can replicate the crash.

  3. Hi @EchoOneand Welcome to the Forums,

As the crash doesn't happen with Hardware Acceleration off, it's likely related to openCL.  The first thing I'd suggest is doing a clean install of your graphics card drivers, making sure you are installing the latest ones and then see if you can enable Hardware Acceleration and carry out the same actions and see if you get a crash.

Could you also attach the latest crash report?  You may have more than 1 report but please just attach the latest one as it should related to this crash.  To find your report see here.

    1. What are the advantages of first processing the photos in Affinity Photo (cropping and downsampling) and then placing them in Publisher? It'd be easier for me to always work in Publisher to be able to make adjustments and using the vector crop feature on the fly.

There aren't really any that i can think of.  As you have access to Publisher and Photo, you can just work inside in Publisher and switch to the Photo Persona when needed.

    2. What are the best settings for the PDF export? This will be likely seen on a monitor rather than printed.

This is a tricky one to answer and there isn't a one size fits all answer.  Exporting using one of the digital Presets (Digital small or High Res) should be enough for viewing on screen.  The digital small preset will give you the smallest PDF.

I'm a little confused about the downsample images larger than... setting. Does it make sense to always set the value the same as the Document's DPI?

Ideally, you want to set that higher than your current documents DPI.  Play around and check the quality of the export on screen and see what suits your work best :)

  5. Hi @msiem86and Welcome to the Forums,

I'm not having an issue here with our Cintiq Pro.  Can you first make sure your drivers for the tablet and all up to date and even do a clean install of them if they are.

If there is still a delay, click on on the Affinity menu in the top left corner and select Settings and then on the Performance section untick Hardware Acceleration is ticked, untick it and close Settings.  You'll be asked to restart Affinity and once restarted, see if you can replicate the issue again.

  6. Hi @TrentL,

So I've just heard back from QA with the following:

    1) The Base Texture heavily influences it
    2) Nozzle (Dense Oil has a pretty solid nozzle and Fibers Oil has holes in it)
    3) Spacing can affect it

There isn't a setting under Edit Brush>Dynamics that controls this.  So it's not exactly straightforward and more a combination of things.  Hopefully, the above information helps :)

  7. Hola @dolc73,

¿Puede ejecutar el desinstalador de Microsoft nuevamente y esta vez seleccionar No listado de la lista de aplicaciones y luego copiar y pegar el siguiente código en el cuadro y hacer clic en siguiente:
    {C2B166C2-1A86-4206-A796-C74E33D478EF}

Una vez que Microsoft Uninstaller haya hecho lo suyo, vuelva a ejecutar nuestra configuración y hágame saber los resultados.

I was able to export the first file without any issues.

That is interesting!  Can you remember what the Rasterise option was set to on the Export window?  I've found in my tests this morning that when Rasterise is set to Everything the file will preview/export fine.  The trouble seems to happen when the Rasterise option is set to Nothing or Unsupported Properties.
