  1. Same problems as above here with my Wacom tablet. It always worked perfectly but not anymore with this beta version. In another post it is mentionned that it should (or could) be fixed in the next beta. So...let's hope...
  2. I use a Wacom that always worked perfectly. But now I am waiting for the next beta as this "missing brush tip" is bugging me also.
  3. I did it three times without a crash. On the forth time the perspective worked fine, but when I clicked on the tab of another opened image Photo shut down without a trace, no error message. Did it a fifth time.... no problem at all, perspective worked fine and couldn't get a crash by clicking anywhere else. All this with the latest beta. It's a mysterious mistery....
  4. "Live Perspective" tutorial from James: https://player.vimeo.com/video/192599738/ I will try to find the time to try it on the released version of Photo.
  5. I was editing a live perspective, doing each and every step from the tutorial. Photo (beta .514) crashed twice without any error message or anything, it just disappeared.
  6. I've been a user of Lightroom and PS for years, switched to On1 Photo Raw two years ago, Affinity Photo was not up to the task during those years. During that time I kept testing Rawtherapee and Darktable.... I make a few thousands RAW images a year. Recently I installed Darktable 3.0 as my RAW program of choice, this is the one I got the best results over all the other RAW software. It takes some time to master, but then.... I won't go back. This being said, in the last weeks I also tested RAW development with Affinity Photo. I got very good results with it. But.... for non destructive work you have to save the files in Aff Photo format... and that fills up a hard drive rather quickly. And when you come back with 400 RAW files.... Affinity is certainly not the way to go. Again.... so far, Darktable is still on top. But as I mentionned above, you have to spend quite some time with it. Choosing a RAW editor is often a "personnal" thing, it depends of your workflow, how many images you have to work on, and also the camera you use. I always used Canon and Panasonic cameras. But I have never been able to "integrate" Photo with Darktable. I still have to export to JPG from Darktable and then edit with Photo.
  7. Thanks for this tutorial. You can do this without "Affinity Photo" using the "Text on Path" in Designer to achive the same results and more. And running only one app will not tax your computer CPU and memory.
  8. Never had a problem here with any TIFF file in beta or retail versions. As mentioned above, attaching the file you have problem with could help.
  9. On my system retail .481 takes 4 seconds and beta .486 takes 5 seconds. Not a big difference, but 50 secs.... that's not normal.
  10. I can't understand why this kind of post can be seen. I've got a warning point from moderators for much less than that... They just didn't like my answer to a **** like that J1GSAW.
  11. If you play with the "Light Source" directions you can make it better or worst... the more contrast the worst it gets. I did not find a way to make it look good.
  12. Here on Window 10 Version 1903 (build 18362,418) all updates installed, and no problem at all. OneDrive is running and Affinity apps open and save files to this folder without any problem.
  13. Could this be related to the KB4524147 Windows update that caused similar problems to many. I would try removing above mentionned update, you have nothing to lose.
  14. Deleting the Icon Cache fixed it. It's probably a Windows problem, but I wonder... why these two Affinity Apps Icons only, out of so many... Here is a small app that deletes and rebuild the Icons cache automatically. Easy and faster than the command prompt. Got it (burried at the bottom) from the suggested website above. Thanks for your help.
  15. For the last few days I noticed that Affinity Photo and Designer Icons of the Beta version disapeared in Win 10 start menu. The shortcut are there and work. But no icons, just an empty document icon. I know this could be a Windows problem. Icons for the release version are displayed. Here is what I see. Anybody else has this problem?
  16. I can replicate this behaviour only in the beta version. Moving the fill layer directly under the picture layer works ok. But if I move it to the picture layer, to the right (as a child layer) the whole image disapears behind this fill layer.
  17. You can enter a number or just drag the cursor to the right on the image.
  18. Window 10 - 16 Gb - Intel I7 - 8700 - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 If I uncheck the usharp mask the whole process takes 3.5 secs. So if the sharpness mask is needed it's better using a non live filter unsharp mask on a copy and save a lot of time. This being said..... I wonder if the live filter works the way it should.
  19. Here it took 3 min 52 secs for the whole operation on the latest beta version, and exactly the same time in the .481 release version. After the calculations it takes 2 or 3 seconds to write the file, so I don't understand the "5 minutes to create the file" or "about the same (4 minutes) to export".
  20. "It worked until the 4th of October!" On October 4th a Microsoft 10 update was installed: KB4524147, which is causing printing and start menu problems to many. Maybe this has something to do with your saving problem. Try uninstalling it and see if it changes something.
