  1. Cheers randy, yes I do reuse bits and pieces if it can save some time and it's a good fit for something. One of the benefits of working digitally. :)
  2. There it is. I knew it was for real eh? ;) Nice one!
  3. Awesome news and no worries Matt, I know you are taking care of other stuff. ;) Just thought I'd bring it up again as I just noticed it again myself with the latest beta.
  4. Hi team, would love to see this addressed soon. Way too many nodes on expanded strokes still. Is this being looked into? To make files airtight when sending out to either clients or printers, I always expand all of my strokes so there are no chances of logo or illo strokes being enlarged or reduced if not set to scale with the object... the current amount of nodes generated is not ideal. See attached. Cheers.
  5. Hi evtonic3 I believe the warp tools are on the wish list or roadmap. Not sure about any 3d features. I think that sort of stuff would be way off down the road.
  6. I prefer the default behaviour as it is now rui_mac, but I can see how having an option to turn it on or off would be useful as well.
  7. First few moments with the corner tool and path text are pretty sweet, nice implementation of both. Love the slider for the baseline adjust and the way the feature it just overall feels logical, simple and easy to use. Is this final or are you still tinkering? Only thing to complement this for down the road might be some preset effects, flag, rise, arch, etc... One little thing on the corner tool... I'm finding the smaller red circle around the selected nodes are sort of in the way for seeing the curve underneath... otherwise, I'm loving it.
  8. Just downloaded as well can't wait to take it for a spin... cheers gals and guys, sounds like the corner tool is a hit!
  9. Peter, you're the undisputed king of finding related imagery for all of these threads... ;)
  10. Thanks Sunset, the last thing I did on this was the texture in the background. I feel that it really brought it all together.
  11. Great job madeinxyz, those are some crazy hours they're keeping at this salon...
  12. ...hehe, you have created a monster Matt! I got it to work tooolbox and it does what you've outlined, but its not an ideal workflow of course. :) Plus if I want to edit one object symmetrically like a face for example, it seems to only work on two objects - the two embedded objects... Would love to see a nice simple "symmetry mode" solution from the Affinity team that mirrors either horizontally or vertically (or both) editing actions in real time. It's a "down the road" request. ;) What I see this workflow might be great for would be a symbol like behaviour. Create one "cog" for example, embed it, create a machine using a few copied cogs, edit the original, all update simultaneously...
  13. Thanks guys, by making groups of individual hair/fur objects your able to move around 10 - 20 hairs at a time, then you can adjust the transparency, rotation, scale, etc of the group. It's pretty cool. So it doesn't take as long as it might appear to. ;)
  14. Great start, I'm looking forward to see how this freehand, traditional looking technique gets translated in Designer.
  15. Cool I'll give it a shot. I tried it earlier but I was placing a different file not the current file. It's crazy that you can even do that...
  16. Hi toolbox, any chance of elaborating a bit on that process?
  17. Okay now we've just got to have this! Man it looks like it's already done. How did you do this? Amazing demo. I'm excited, can you tell? :)
  18. That would save time not having to flip and join or copy and join something you need symmetrical. If it was some sort of live symmetrical editing that would be epic... it would ideally have to be a "mode" horizontal or vertical, to work across a number of tools and operations (scale, rotate, booleans etc...) This is a good example of borrowing something that's very common and useful in 3d apps for a 2d workflow...
  19. Cheers Ronnie. Now that you bring it up guys, a gallery page or forum perhaps juried or curated by the Affinity team would be an incredible asset for newcomers or tire kickers to really show off the suites capabilities. Maybe categorized under features or it could just be random... Affinity team, is there anything like that in the works?
  20. Hey Ronnie I think we started this Bunny thing way before Easter was near... even so you'd better get "crackin" ;)
  21. Cheers Herojas93, it turned out better than I imagined it would.
