  1. It would be really nice to be able to slide a node while keeping original path curvature intact (i.e. the node being moved would change its curvature according to its path). Would be very helpful when handling complex shapes or taming freehand strokes.
  2. Cool, looks like a game poster, especially with that logo.
  3. Hi there, just found the CAD terminology "hairline" got translated incorrectly in Affinity Designer 2. Current Chinese translation is irrelevant to the actual feature and can cause confusion. I found 2 occurrence: Main Menu → View → View Mode → Hairline (should be 细线 in Simplified Chinese, or 毫線 in Traditional Chinese) The "Customize Toolbar" popup window → Group "Advanced View Mode" → Tool tip text of the 4th button (should be 细线视图模式 in Simplified Chinese, or 毫線視圖模式 in Traditional Chinese) 您好,刚刚发现 CAD 术语“Hairline”在 Affinity Designer 2 中的翻译是错误的。
  4. Pardon me for ignorance of the "sad history", I wasn't told about all that and have not seen any announcement like "we will not respond to feature reqs". I understand they would rather face the anger than having to bear the accusation for "not fulfilling". But isn't it far to the other extreme that they would not reply to any feature reqs at all, which seems to be the situation right now? There are posts crying for features that many would find essential, and no "moderator reply" to any of them. We won't know if the post is even read. When you post you expect you're read, otherwise it's like talking to air, which is frustrating and may turn any humble person into a "loud and annoying complainer". Then when someone complains he'll be told he has only himself to blame cause he's got sin from the sad history. I believe things don't have to be like this.
  5. If you ever ask Serif something like: whether a feature's planned or not, when ther's gonna be a roadmap, no, they won't reply. Only bugs and licensing issues are taken care of. Not sure of the reason... is there any obstacle within the group to decision making, or is it just the Serif way - not giving promise of any sort.
  6. Exact same situation as mine. One of the reason why I'm still bearing Adobe's subscription for PS. The controller and PS cooperates perfectly.
  7. +1 But clearly they don't pay any attention to feature requests, any post of this kind may be a waste of time. And there are 8-year-old-still-unsolved ones
  8. Corgi do you work as a product manager? Found some of your ideas very professional.
  9. Yes and the shape builder (which is conceptually a great tool) seems to be buggy. Crashed repeatedly when making shapes. No crash reporting after restart. And they don't seem to care about any feature request, even the essential ones. Why is V2 still lacking some fundamental gears (say, the pressure tool)? I would say V1 is far from maturity, but I don't see a sign of polishing except the fancy icons in V2. Isn't V1 to V2 supposed to be a huge feature update plus many bugs and flaws fixed, after all these years? Me, another sad buyer of the universal license, not considering a refund.
  10. So sorry, let me bring this 8-year-old feature request up again... Starting from 2014 in this post, followed by this in 2018 and this in the same year and this in 2020, we've been crying for a technically-possible feature. The pressure graph is usable in some simple cases, but definitely not for something more complicated (vector line art etc.). We've got pen pressure, we've got the graph, but surprisingly not a tool (or a feature within the node tool) to manipulate pressure precisely. Not even in V2... Think of how many potential customers might be driven away by lack of such a practical feature... Sad. Just hope any one of our dear devs would see this. 🥲
