  1. It seems to stay on here What other tool are you switching to and what Affinity app and OS are you using
  2. Can you upload that ORF file to the forum and also state your camera make/model? The information on screen is too small for my eyes
  3. That screenshot is from APhoto in menu option... Window > States But I'm also not sure what the OP is asking
  4. Sometimes if you have a second screen connected (or have used one in the past) the print dialogue screen could be showing on that screen Also, check the (closed) laptop screen if you are using one
  5. In your first screenshot you have 11 of them showing Denoted by the blue icon to the left of the Layer which looks like 5 horizontal lines This one...
  6. If I hide the Layer layers I don't want to change I can use... Select > Select Same > Stroke Weight > Equal and only the layers on that (still visible) Layer are selected By "Layer" I mean the special container Layer rather than layers in general
  7. In Affinity Photo goto... Edit > Settings > Performance You will find a hardware acceleration setting there (switch it off if it is on) This is also the screenshot @callum wanted
  8. 1. Cropping can be simulated by using a Rectangle "clipped" to the image or by using a Picture Frame (Picture Frame Tool) 2. Some colour adjustment can be done using an Adjustment layer on the image E.g. Black & White Brightness / Contrast Colour Balance Curves Exposure Recolour Selective Colour Shadows / Highlights Vibrance White Balance ....and others Suggest you download the trial version of Publisher to see if it has enough image editing within it for your needs or if you will need to purchase Affinity Photo also
  9. No, in APhoto you have the normal APhoto crop tool but it's not greyed out You can't crop the artboard document but the straighten and rotate functions of the Crop Tool still work
  10. I think he meant an Affinity document, not screenshots. (e.g. a .afdesign or .afphoto file) We would need that to see if we see what you are seeing and to then see if we can figure out why I can't initially recreate the "problem" but it may be Windows v Mac issue But we still need that document
  11. Archive bit also not setting here in 2.2 beta or 2.2.1 beta on Windows 11. Exe versions. Also tested one of my overnight backup routines and files are not backed up 2.1 release works correctly. (Fortunately, I had not got around to updating that version as yet and still use it for important stuff) This is one of those problems that companies may not notice for a while but when they do... someone in the IT department is getting fired
  12. You possibly had "Hide Studio" active Clicking on the a symbol activates the "Character Panel", which would automatically unhide the studio
  13. If you turn off synching then make a change to a symbol certain attributes can become unlinked (e.g. Opacity, Fill Colour, Stroke, Transformations etc) Once that particular attribute is unlinked you can't re-sync it but other attributes will re-sync when you turn synching back on in the Symbols panel The layers panel will indicate a layer has some sort of unlinked attribute by displaying a dashed, vertical orange line next to it rather than the standard solid one used for symbols The attributes that are unlinked can be seen by hovering near these dash lines in the Layers panel This is all further complicated by the fact that objects within the symbol can have unlinked/linked attributes and the symbol itself can have unlinked/linked attributes working separately and together. Also, when you unlink an attribute at the symbol level you can get unexpected other attributes unlinked also, which do not get unlinked if you unlinked the same attribute at the object level It all gets a bit very confusing at times
  14. If you don't like the new icons on the layers in the Layers Panel you can access the hamburger menu in that Layers Panel and untick Show Object Type
  15. Maybe @patrick connor thought you may have used one or more of the Affinity apps on all or part of the samples you previously uploaded Nice portfolio of pics but looking forward to seeing some of your future work using Affinity
  16. Make sure Protect Alpha is not selected in the context toolbar
  17. Check that the Feather setting in the context toolbar for the Elliptical Marquee Tool is set to zero
  18. If, in the future, the program adds a new section when you add pages, please consider saving the history with the document and sending it to the support staff If there's a bug or pattern to what happened they will want to look into it
  19. There can only be so many jobs in the film industry (or other industries) and once AI becomes mainstream the professionals that used to be needed to work on those jobs will be competing, price wise, with anyone that can harvest an AI's talent (not theirs) Soon, highly skilled professionals could find themselves working for pennies just to put a meal on the table.
  20. Sorry I don't understand why you made it brighter? I would think making it less bright would better blend in with the rest of the image. Like adding a brightness & Contrast adjustment and effectively lowering the brightness I include a quick example where I have done this to one of your earlier uploads PS Don't worry about the radioactive dog, he would be done separately using the same technique
  21. Use a Rounded Rectangle and Layer > Convert to text Frame With the object selected AND the Rounded Rectangle Tool selected you can change the corner radius Not sure why you converted it to a curve With the Shape Text layer selected, double clicking the bottom-middle node will resize the shape to fit the text
  22. Sounds like two thirds of you could be out of a job next year or replaced by far less skilled/costly AI grunts Be careful what you wish(ed) for
