My first large project in Affinity Designer as I usually draw in Xara Designer.

AD is phantastic, but still lacks some of XD's features like blend, mesh etc.

I came from CorelDRAW and AI and have some of the problems mentioned by you, but AD also has some features that are absent in these programs and AD's functionality suits me better, while I am sure more functionality will be added over time, making it more competitive than it already is now.

Your image reminds me of the wonderful box art that was printed on model kits from my youth.   No matter how hard i tried, i could never make the models look as good at the artwork.  Back then there was no computer illustration. It was all hand-painted.

I agree, VectorWhiz, I hope they won't be carried away by other projects like XARA was...
