Hi, i'm new to the software, watching tutorials and cheat sheet for shortcut i see the Alt + right button down + drag (left/right)  and  Alt + right button down + drag (up/down)  to Decrease/increase brush width with on-screen readout  and Decrease/increase brush hardness with on-screen readout , but i can manage to make that shortcut work in AF Photo (on windows AF vertsion 1.7.2.471)

Am i missing something ?

Hey zedrone, welcome to the Affinity forums.

Are you also pressing the left mouse button down? This is how I do it:

Press the Alt+RMB+LMB and then start dragging. You can then go up/down or left/right. Let me know how you get on.

I didn't find any from Serif, it was from https://shuttermuse.com/affinity-photo-keyboard-shortcuts/

maybe i didnt search enough, it was lazy of me to take the first result in the search...

The shortcut they show is correct, Alt + RMB + Drag.

But anything that says "Drag" is really "press left mouse button and move the mouse", which ends up being Alt + RMB + LMB + move mouse.

I think the problem is that some (many?) users will understand “Drag” to mean “move the mouse while the button is depressed”. If you’re already depressing the RMB it’s not unreasonable to suppose that keeping it depressed during the mouse move is all you need.

I think you're right. But note, for example, the instructions on the Photo status bar (bottom of screen) with the Brush Tool selected:

It doesn't say "Click and Drag" or "Click left mouse button and Drag". Just "Drag", leaving "click left mouse button and" implied.
