Herenow Posted June 7, 2019 Posted June 7, 2019 Hi, On Windows 10, holding Ctrl and dragging the curve/shape in the canvas will not duplicate the object. Quote
Cristian Dragos Posted June 8, 2019 Posted June 8, 2019 Works fine for me, both Ctrl and Alt + Drag. Windows 10 1809. Quote Check out my awesome Affinity Creations!
Aammppaa Posted June 8, 2019 Posted June 8, 2019 @Herenow Can you provide any more information? Is the shape locked? Which tool are you using when you try to duplicate with Ctrl+Drag? Does this happen on all shapes / curves? Or just a specific one? Quote Win10 Home x64 | AMD Ryzen 7 2700X @ 3.7GHz | 48 GB RAM | 1TB SSD | nVidia GTX 1660 | Wacom Intuos Pro

EDIT: Nothing to see here, I was wrong. It looks like it doesn't duplicate anything - but check out the layers panel. It does work - you just can't see the duplicates on the canvas. Aammppaa Posted June 8, 2019 Posted June 8, 2019 @Jowday But you aren't dragging them to the canvas! You are dragging them onto the pasteboard. And since Clip to Canvas is turned on by default, they are not showing. Jowday Posted June 8, 2019 Posted June 8, 2019 Crap, I knew I was too tired for this. Mixed up terms. My bad. Well, on the canvas, it works for me. Hi Herenow, You have to keep the Ctrl held down until you release the mouse. If you toggle the Ctrl whilst still holding the mouse you can see the original disappear/reappear. This is allows you to change your mind between a duplicate or move if you change your mind mid way through. Quote
