  1. I am very late to this, but maybe look in to the pinning panel? The InDesign equivalent is the anchored object where you insert images within the text box that flows with the text. Ignore this if this has been solved!
  2. Hi Serif, I did a search and didn't see this topic so forgive me if this is a duplicate. My search-fu may not be as good as it should be. I was replacing a color on a gradient by dragging a swatch color to one of the nodes(?) and Affinity Photo crashed. I was able to replicate this bug. MacOS: 11.2.2 Affinity Photo 1.9.1 Create a new document and a new pixel layer Use the marquee tool and drag out a shape (I did it with the square and ellipse) Switch to the gradient tool, change the type to Linear and create the gradient by clicking and dragging from one end of the shape to the opposite end Go to the Swatches tab and drag a swatch color to one of the nodes Crash A large-ish animated gif is attached.
  3. Hi everyone, I am trying to apply a textured brush to a curve and it is stretching along the path rather than being perpendicular to it. Example: Both are using the same textured brush stroke. Strangely, if I copy and paste these two shapes onto a new document, the second larger stroke on the right will look like what's on the left. Does anyone know how to fix this?
  4. Hi, On Windows 10, holding Ctrl and dragging the curve/shape in the canvas will not duplicate the object.
  5. Wonderful! Thank you for the clarification.
  6. Hi all, I apologize in advance if this comes off as a rant. I have been trying to use Designer on and off for a couple of months and I admit that I am nowhere near familiar with the program. As a heavy Illustrator user I found working with artboards and layers very frustrating. How do I lock the artboard and prevent it from being selected? Why is it that when I move an object that's in a separate layer, it suddenly becomes a child of the artboard layer? Is there a way to change how selections work? Is my problem really that I am comparing it to Illustrator? Again, I apologize since this is rant-y than I what I intended it to be.
