Nick Collection in version 1.7.0

Recommended Posts

I had installed the Nick Collection on my 1.6 version, which was working well. When Filters/Plugins/Nick Collection is opened in the 1.7 version, only the HDR Efex Pro 2 is effective to be used.
How to get to the seven other tools?

Works fine for me  (Windows 10)

If you go to Edit > Preferences "Photoshop plugins" is the "Plugin Search Folder" correctly defined, and do you see the detected plugins beneath ?

It looks like quite a few users are experiencing an issue with plugins that would load in 1.6 but are failing in 1.7. Please see this reply from Mark who has stated that we will attempt to reach out to the plugin developers to see if we can reach a solution.

Hi Chris B,

Mark's reply is explicitly about color management when going into plugins. This issue is still pending (except Analog Efex 2 and Color Efex 4).
But here it's about plugin not working anymore or not. It's not the same thing. This also includes the DxO Viewpoint and FilmPack plugins that cause a crash without error message.

5 uur geleden, HVDB Photography zei:

C:\Program Files\Google\Nik Collection

My plugins all work properly.
But, I have had them installed under the directory:
C:\Program Files\Google\Nik Collection

On my System they are all working. Ok, they are displayed like in the screenshots here, but the plugins which are signed as Working an also as Unkown are working fine for me.
I have them installed on Drive D, not on the Drive where Windows is installed. Maybe there are problems with the active UAC on drive C? Would that be a possibility?

Have a nice day.
Ich wünsche einen schönen Tag.

I've installed them now in the C drive as C:\Program Files\Google\Nik collection. I became the same vieuw as before, exact the same as HVDB ... but again, only the HDR od the 8 plugins is working. So, it didn't help.
And to UWE, when it would be an UAC problem, why would 'one' work and the other seven not?

I downloaded the 1.7.1.404 Windows version but the NIK application doesn't work better as in the 1.7.0 version:
- in the Olympus ORF  (RAW) files and DNG, only  the plugin 'HDR EfexPro 2' can be applied
- in J(E)PG all 8 NIK fucntions are functional.
Why not all in RAW?
