Uwe367
Hi Folks, Is there a Filter like Photoshops Mezzotint in AP available or is there a possibility to create the same effect? firstdefence
You could just overlay a texture and change the blend mode. Or to simulate mezzotint medium dots Duplicate the image layer Use the Live filters Add noise or Diffuse, pull over to the right 100% Change the blend mode to something like Overlay or vivid light to get a grittier look To simulate the lines try increasing the contrast and adding a live filter like motion blur. Once you have a look you like you could macro it For those that don't know what mezzotint is or don't have Photoshop etc, this is Mezzotint and its options Uwe367 1 Quote iMac 27" 2019 Sequoia 15.0 (24A335), iMac 27" Affinity Designer, Photo & Publisher V1 & V2, Adobe, Inkscape, Vectorstyler, Blender, C4D, Sketchup + more... R C-R
The Internet tells me a mezzotint is "a print made from an engraved copper or steel plate on which the surface has been partially roughened, for shading, and partially scraped smooth, giving light areas. The technique was much used in the 17th, 18th, and early 19th centuries for the reproduction of paintings." However, when I first heard an artist friend explaining to someone how she achieved this effect in one of her works, I thought she was saying "mess o' tint." In my defense, this was at a party & alcohol was involved. Uwe367
@firstdefence Thanks for your hints. It is easyer to simulate the effect than to find a useful textur. I´m playing with some adjustments and settings and it works nice @R C-R I hope it was a nice party When i drink a bit to much, i understand sometimes somethings wrong too and and that's why I got a slapped in the face from a woman one time Thanks for you explanation about mezzotint. But it would be nice that a filter for this will be added in the Future. firstdefence and h.ozboluk 2 Quote Have a nice day. Ich wünsche einen schönen Tag. Luv2photo13
Can you tell me what you mean by Macro it? Just make it smaller? Also I have a screen shot of the steps you suggested and wondered if I did them correctly? Not sure about whether it is important or not to group as not mentioned. Thanks!
