Rick G Posted January 14, 2019 Posted January 14, 2019 This is a nasty little but that was introduce in beta .209 When painting with a brush or the inpaintng brush for example and you leave the canvas area, te tool often just grabs the graphic as if you are holding down the left mouse button and drags it everywhere. Sometimes by repeated clicking you can make it "let go" but I have had that fail and had to kill the program and lose my edits Confirmations? Does it happen regularly enough so that you could get a screen recording of it? I will attempt to grab a video. It does not happen all that often but once or twice a day is aggravating. As I said, one time I could not break out of it Chris B 1 Affinity Designer 2.2.2075 & beta 2.3.1.2212 Affinity Photo 2.2.2075 beta 2.3.1.2212Affinity Publisher 2.2.2075 & beta 2.3.1.2212 Windows 11 Pro Version 22H2 OS build 22621.1928 Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-10700 CPU @ 2.90GHz 2.90 GHz Installed RAM 16.0 GB (15.7 GB usable) System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor
Rick G Posted January 15, 2019 Author Posted January 15, 2019 Here is a video. I did it on a blank pixel layer and as you can see picking another tool doesn't help It is fairly easy to reproduces ... just grab any tool such as the brush and make sure you "color" off the canvas in a sloppy manner and it will start grabbing. Of course we don't work that way but often the slightest move off the canvas produces this result Thanks for looking into this Photo Bug cursor grabs graphic.mp4 Affinity Designer 2.2.2075 & beta 2.3.1.2212 Affinity Photo 2.2.2075 beta 2.3.1.2212Affinity Publisher 2.2.2075 & beta 2.3.1.2212 Windows 11 Pro Version 22H2 OS build 22621.1928 Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-10700 CPU @ 2.90GHz 2.90 GHz Installed RAM 16.0 GB (15.7 GB usable) System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor
Mark Ingram Posted January 23, 2019 Posted January 23, 2019 It's because the mouse up message was never received, so the main area still thinks the mouse is down. I'm wondering if this has always been there, or this is new. Rick G 1

Rick G Posted February 8, 2019 Author Posted February 8, 2019 CAUTIOUSLY ... in 1.7.0.231 this seems to be fixed.
