HYR Posted December 6, 2018 Posted December 6, 2018 The selected artboard/layer is very subtly different than the other unselected artboards. It's not obvious at a glance what is selected.
HYR Posted December 6, 2018 Author Posted December 6, 2018 Taking the two same images I made a small change that I think would help the visibility of the selected layer/artboard in the layers panel. See attached.
Old Bruce Posted December 6, 2018 Posted December 6, 2018 I get a blue highlight on what I select, I grant you it is subdued when the Artboard and or layer is collapsed but it is obvious because of the blue not grey. Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.6 Affinity Designer 2.5.5 | Affinity Photo 2.5.5 | Affinity Publisher 2.5.5 | Beta versions as they appear. I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
Friksel Posted December 6, 2018 Posted December 6, 2018 Just curious, I'm using the windows version and in both the 'stable' as the beta-version we see blue selections. In your example everything looks only gray. This is what pc-users see in both designer versions, and that seems pretty easy to spot: Is the Mac-version that different to the PC-version? (serious question... I am surprised)
fde101 Posted December 6, 2018 Posted December 6, 2018 Mine are purple. It appears to use the system highlight color on the Mac which is blue by default but can be changed from System Preferences -> General.
Staff Sean P Posted December 7, 2018 Staff Posted December 7, 2018 Fde101 is correct - the highlight uses the Highlight colour set in System Preferences > General, which in your case I believe it is Graphite, so unfortunately you will get that clash.
HYR Posted December 7, 2018 Author Posted December 7, 2018 Yeah, thanks. So I guess it's still an issue but only if you have graphite selected.
