  1. Congrats and fantastic work on the new iPad app launch! Any chance of getting two finger tap to undo and 3 finger tap redo in the new iPad app? Pretty please? :)
  2. So the tab order (left to right) _usually_ makes sense I don't think it makes sense in the current Transform Studio layout. You go from X coordinate to Width to Y coordinate to Height. Rather than change the tab order, I'd like to see it change to width and height on the first line and the X/Y coordinates on the second line.
  3. I agree with Sean. I would expect to tab from `Width` to `Height` when modifying a shape, not the `Y coordinate`. @Sean P Personally I would prefer the UI to change to make it more obvious, but I can appreciate that a UI change would affect the current docs. Even just changing the tab order would help in the short term.
  4. In version 1.6.x when you dragged an image outside of an artboard the image was made visible and removed from the artboard's stack of layers. Current that no longer happens. It remains in the artboards stack of layers. Also when dragging the image around it flickers like crazy.
  5. Says "... cuves"... I assume it's supposed to be "curves".
  6. Coming from Sketch to Affinity one thing I really miss are plugins to help fill gaps. A great one in Sketch/Photoshop is Craft by Invision. Its a bunch of features to help with designs but it also allows for you to easily export designs to Invision. This is great because you can immediately post a design to a project on Invision and share the link to get feedback in as few steps possible. I'd like to see Affinity designer allow plugin developers to add more functionality to the app so it can improve my workflow.
  7. Yeah, thanks. So I guess it's still an issue but only if you have graphite selected.
  8. The selected artboard/layer is very subtly different than the other unselected artboards. It's not obvious at a glance what is selected.
  9. When resizing an artboard, I'd like the artboard to snap to the edges of the contents within the artboard itself. Often times I'm resizing the artboard to fit the contents. With snapping turned on I expect the artboard to snap to the contents as well. This would really be a great little time saver rather than having to zoom way in to see if it's precisely where it needs to be.
  10. Great point! Yeah I agree. I was focusing on the artboard only because that's where I keep running into it.
  11. Has anything been done (or can anything be done) to have better compatibility with PSD's in AD 1.7? I just did a quick test, exporting a simple file with 1 line of text and 4 simple shapes as a PSD and opened in the latest version of Photoshop and they're all rasterized, which is not useful to me when I want to work in Affinity Designer as my primary tool and export PSD's for clients to have an editable copy of the work since they use Photoshop. Does that make sense?
  12. Taking the two same images I made a small change that I think would help the visibility of the selected layer/artboard in the layers panel. See attached.
  13. @MattP Yeah I can totally understand that! It just seems to me that the ability to export PSD that actually is editable within Photoshop would allow us designers to use Affinity Designer/Photo 100% of the time and still give the client the format they want would really help with adopting the affinity apps into peoples workflow much easier. As it is now I have to work in Photoshop (for many clients) when really the affinity apps are much more intuitive for me. Anyway, thanks for all of your hard work! Looking forward to 1.7 release!
  14. I'm considering buying the Mac mini 2018 the following specs (copied off of Apple's cart page)... 3.2GHz 6‑core 8th‑generation Intel Core i7 (Turbo Boost up to 4.6GHz) 8GB 2666MHz DDR4 (Upgrading to 32GB of RAM myself) Intel UHD Graphics 630 1TB SSD storage Gigabit Ethernet (10/100/1000BASE-T Gigabit Ethernet using RJ-45 connector) Accessory Kit Now I've not purchased a Mac in some time now so I'm not up on all of the latest info. My only concern is I keep seeing the lack of a quality GPU being raised as an issue in some reviews. But I saw on on twitter this tweet about the affinity products not using GPU for much right now. Besides all of the Affinity products I still occasionally need to use Adobe apps (which I try to avoid). So my question is, is there any reason not to buy the Mac mini as my primary design work station? (Perhaps some of the Serif staff could clue me in?)
  15. Got the Mac mini 2018 today and installed the memory. The process wasn't too bad. I bought an iFixit toolkit which really aided in the process. Nice to have 32GB of RAM with the ability to upgrade to 64GB! Anyway, I just downloaded the Affinity apps. If I see any issue's I'll post them.
  16. @meb should Publisher's "vector" and "photo" personas be working with the latest 1.7.x betas of Designer and Photo at this time?
  17. Makes sense. I was just curious if it was being addressed in this next version (v1.7).
  18. Yesss, love to hear that! Thanks!
  19. Symbols for me where very unreliable and since I didn't see it listed as having been improved I thought I'd ask about it.
  20. Have symbols been improved in this version?
  21. Yessss, I can't wait to play with this!
  22. @MattP Thank you for your response! That's exactly what I had hoped to hear. I am hopeful that Mac mini 2018, because of the memory upgradability and the eGPU via T3 port (along with the other three T3 ports) will extend the life of the machine for me. I appreciate it! Thanks! HYR
  23. Hey thanks guys! Good feedback. I'll wait. I did see it's not an easy process but I'm tired of being stuck with 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD. I'd like a machine with 32GB of RAM and 1TB SSD because I keep running out of memory and storage on my laptop. But I'll wait a bit. Thanks!
  24. I'm pretty comfortable with any Mac, just can't afford most of them. I'm interested in the Mac mini above because I could upgrade the RAM myself up to 64GB and it seems like a decent machine. My only concern was the GPU issue. How will this affect my experience with Affinity products now (which based on the tweet thread above, not much at all) and in the future? @MattP mind sharing your thoughts?
