Phil_rose
Hello all. Can anyone help me with this as its driving me to distraction? Take a look at the attached file. It's possible that you won't have all the fonts available to you but don't worry about that. On the front cover (the one with the bomb image), underneath the bomb you will see the words Brain Bomb which is the name of the EP. It is semitransparent. I have tried everything I can think of to make it entirely opaque. The layer opacity is a 100% both for the stroke and the fill. I have tried putting it in its own layer. There are no effects applied. Can anyone help at all? Thanks all! folded cover take 2.afdesign Quote I like turtles! Alfred
When I try to open Phil’s file in Affinity Designer for iPad, I get a ‘Failed to open document’ error, the stated reason for the failure being as follows: ‘The file includes features from a later version of Affinity.’ Quote Alfred Affinity Designer/Photo/Publisher 2 for Windows • Windows 10 Home/Pro Affinity Designer/Photo/Publisher 2 for iPad • iPadOS 17.5.1 (iPad 7th gen)

If that's not an error in your signature, perhaps upgrading your apps would allow it to work? Or, you might try opening it in Photo instead, as it seems to be at a later version number than Designer on iOS. I'm actually on version 1.6.2.42 of AD for iPad and 1.6.9.81 of APh for iPad, so I obviously forgot to update my sig after the latest updates! Curiously, a thumbnail for the file is added to the home screen for both apps, which is something I don't recall ever seeing before when a file has failed to open. The file opens OK in version 1.6.5.123 of both desktop apps on my Windows system (allowing for the fact that I don't have the fonts Hotel Coral Essex and Magneto Bold installed).
