huebi Posted December 14, 2017 Posted December 14, 2017 Hi, I have a bunch of fotos taken under water and they are really crappy. I found some tutorials for photoshop like this one: The foto is like mine and its astonishing what can be done... unfortunetly I am unable to translate this tutorial to affinity, can somebody halp me out what was done and how to do this in Affinty? If necessary I can upload one of mine fotos.. Thanks in advance Quote
Gnobelix Posted December 16, 2017 Posted December 16, 2017 I think a photo could be very helpful. In AP, it should not be a problem to get comparable results. huebi Posted March 6, 2018 Author Posted March 6, 2018 Hi, i now went through dozens over dozens tutorials on Youtube and learned a lot about AP. But... the only thing i figured out that my photos do have enough information in the red chanelle, but i'm still unable to improve them. Everything i'm trying out results in a more worse phozto than before. Any help appreciated. //Huebi Quote
Erwe Posted March 7, 2018 Posted March 7, 2018 Add an live adjustment layer -> Levels Klick on Master and select Red Move the Blackpoint-slider to the beginning of the histogram and on the other side the Whitepoint-slider to the end. Do this also with Green and Blue (Please excuse my bad English) Alfred 1 Quote
huebi Posted March 7, 2018 Author Posted March 7, 2018 Hmmm, i tried a lot of stuff, like HSL on red or Black&White corrections... bun never tried with levels Quote
carl123 Posted March 8, 2018 Posted March 8, 2018 It's hard to say what the actual colours were like without being there so I just had a go at brightening it up a bit. Oh, and unlike Affinity's way of doing things the "before" picture is on the left and the "after" picture is on the right Quote To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum. If any of "my" posts are wrong or appear to be total b*ll*cks they are the ones generated by the AI. If correct they were probably mine. I apologise for any mistakes made by my AI - I'm sure it will improve with time.
DM1 Posted March 9, 2018 Posted March 9, 2018 Tap channel mixer adjustment and raise red to say 116%. The photo info will now appear in the red layer (previously black.) Photo looks much better already. Now apply whatever adjustments you like to finish. Maybe Levels and Clarify. Quote M1 IPad Air 10.9/256GB lpadOS 17.1.1 Apple Pencil (2nd gen). Gnobelix Posted March 10, 2018 Posted March 10, 2018 Hello huebi, some approaches have been shown to you, and that's my way how i would edit the photos. So that you can understand it, I have made the editing in a macro. Playing with the sliders, so that the photo meets your expectations. cheers subsea-photo.afmacro Quote Affinity Photo 2.6: Affinity Photo 1.10.6: Affinity Designer 2.6: Affinity Designer 1.10.6: Affinity Publisher 2.6: Affinity Publisher 1.10.6: Windows 11 Pro (Version 24H2 Build (26100.3915)
