Jonny Spaceman
Yes but it tries to resize the whole canvas and not the selected area and even if you reduce the canvas size it still snaps the anchors to the old canvas size, unless I am missing somthing

Jonny Spaceman
Hi not the most interesting of photos, it's a decal for a 3D model. I've cropped the photo but when I go to mesh warp to square it up the guides are still the same size as the original photo. Also have you considered adding features like in Autodesk Sketchbook Pro and some of the features in Procreate, rulers, guides, ellipse tools perspective guides, auto straightening lines etc. Affinity Photo could be much more than just a Photo editor and have a much bigger customer base, designers like me for example. Thanks.

Cropping is non destructive in AP. The original photo is till there, just hidden by reducing canvas size. If you want the mesh to match the cropped image, select the image and in the Layer Studio tap the menu that looks like stacked layers then tap 'Rasterise and trim'. This will remove the clipped area permanently. To be honest I’m not sure what you are trying to do. Mesh warping will more likely distort your image wherever you touch the mesh. If you want to retain the rectangular shape but change the perspective, you would be better off using the perspective filter as it’s effect is more evenly distributed along a plane. Jonny Spaceman
Thanks for help all, I bought both Designer and Photo, both excellent, I expect Affinity will add tool for designers like in autodesk sketchbook at some point since so many people are raving about how good the Ipad/pen+tablets are for industrial/mechanical/aerospace design etc.

I can’t find it anywhere Not really a feature just a missing basic, everyday function - I also couldn't find it anywhere back in 2014 - to answer your question we don't have any kind of vector distortion, warp functionality - we may get it and we may not, only Serif knows?😩 Quote Mac Pro Cheese-grater (Early 2009) 2.93 GHz 6-Core Intel Xeon 48 GB 1333 MHz DDR3 ECC Ram, Sapphire Pulse Radeon RX 580 8GB GDDR5, Ugee 19" Graphics Tablet Monitor Triple boot via OCLP 1.2.1 - Mac OS Monterey 12.7.1, Sonoma 14.1.1 and Mojave 10.14.6 Affinity Publisher, Designer and Photo 1.10.5 - 2.2.1 www.bingercreative.co.uk
