davemac2015
Currently, the only way to fill an object is to use the Gradient tool. I'd love to see the option when you click on the Fill tab - you'd see None, Swatches, Color, Gradient.
Dave Harris
If you switch to the Fill tool and look at the context toolbar, there should be a drop-down for Type. Selecting Bitmap from that will prompt you for the filename of the bitmap to use.

carl123
The Fill Tool with the Bitmap option is in Affinity Designer Affinity Photo does not have a Fill Tool, it has a Flood Fill Tool It gets even more confusing... davemac2015
What I'm looking for is a consistent means of selecting "Bitmap" as a Fill option. I'd like to see "Bitmap" as another tab, after Gradient, or as a selection on the Gradient tab itself. I'm not seeing a Bitmap option at all in Photo, at least not as a contextual option when "Fill" is chosen.
Dave Harris
Fill tool.jpgIn photo I made a donut shape when I choose the layer then the fill tool I don't see this choice in the context bar. Your screenshot has marked the Floodfill tool. The tool I mean is the one below it, that looks like a CD. It's called Gradient in Photo, but it does do bitmaps. It's called Gradient in Photo, but it does do bitmaps. Why isn't it called the same thing in both apps, and why isn't the word 'Tool' included in the tooltip in Affinity Photo? davemac2015 1 Quote Alfred Affinity Designer/Photo/Publisher 2 for Windows • Windows 10 Home/Pro Affinity Designer/Photo/Publisher 2 for iPad • iPadOS 17.5.1 (iPad 7th gen)
