ronniemcbride
So tonights late night doodle is dedicated to the special lady in my life... Ok maybe this was an excuse to play with creating my own custom brushes. I am building a nice little collection of brushes. So tonight was about brushes and mixing up some vectors with some pixels all in one image. You work in this application long enough you start jumping between the pixel and Draw Persona and you dont even think twice. I love to know what everyone interpretation of the story is in this image. (Squirrel) ohh did I mention I say Big Hero 6 the movie today? Go see it !!! It is worth every bit of the coin. Anyway enjoy. peter, Jobalou, StudioDorgs and 3 others 6 Quote LEARN AFFINITY DESIGNER TODAY. CartoonMike
I could see this on a card or some such. Very iconic and well done! Just curious, how'd you do the red part of the background? ronniemcbride 1 Quote Mac OS X Catinlina, 2014 iMac, 3.5 Ghz Intel Core i7, Huion Kamvas Pro 22 Graphic Tablet, 16GB RAM, MacOS10.12 || Magic keyboard w/numeric keypad, wireless trackpad, Kengsington Edge Trackball || Flux Capacitor in a secure location --- I encourage kids to go ahead and play on my lawn. Create a solid background layer of what ever color choice you want. Create a pixel based intensity smoke brush. Create a new layer make you brush big and paint away. change the blending mode of the smoke layer. ....that is how I did the background. for the firery orange smoke i created a new layer picked a color used my smoke brush and then change the layer mode of that layer. done Makes sense? ohh, here is how to make smoke: http://www.photoshoplady.com/tutorial/making-realistic-smoke-in-photoshop/9453 making a brush in affinity is a whole nother topic that i am still exploring.
