Clearlipstick Posted January 24 Posted January 24 I've been happily chugging away in the beta version of Affinity photo on my iPad Pro (12.9-inch) (5th generation) and definitely enjoying the object selection tool. However, I now receive the following. Quote "Machine Learning Models: Sorry, the use of machine learning features requires an Apple Silicon device." My device has a silicon chip. Is this permanent for affinity photo? Quote
Hangman Posted January 24 Posted January 24 Hi @Clearlipstick, Do you see the same message after a reboot of your iPad? If so, could you upload a quick screen recording so we can see at what point the error message appears... I think someone in the Serif team will need to look into this as it sounds like quite a unique occurrence... As @carl123 mentions above, there have been instances where the Machine Learning models are simply not available to install in the first place but the fact you already have them installed and have been using them makes this a bit odd... Bound by Beans Posted March 16 Posted March 16 This is a simple matter of communication—being precise with words. It should be possible to clarify this in future editions of Affinity and on websites if it is mentioned there as well. Quote

Bound by Beans Posted March 16 Posted March 16 Yes, but it seems to have happened somewhere else for a few readers? I'm thinking directly in the program, where people actually see it. That’s probably where the original wording in this thread comes from. I'm thinking of the place where people read it, which led to posts here in the forum. Anyway, clear communication goes a long way. Or a short way, if people disagree with the message. 🙂 Either way, it saves time and debate. Quote
