earl_grey Posted November 30, 2024 Posted November 30, 2024 Hi, I'm wondering if the ARM64 MSIX version of Affinity software runs natively on Raspberry Pi. Quote

R C-R Posted December 1, 2024 Posted December 1, 2024 Disclaimer: I'm not sure of either of the following but they both seem likely: No legal way to obtain a license to install & run MSIX apps on a Raspberry Pi. Even if it would be legal & possible the performance would be so bad it would effectively be unusable. Yes, but you had asked: 8 hours ago, Pšenda said: Has Raspberry Pi ARM64 (Snapdragon X Elite-powered Windows devices) and Windows 10 or 11 (natively)? As far as I’m aware, a Raspberry Pi device only runs Raspberry Pi OS (which is based on Debian Linux). I am also aware of this - which is why I asked the OP if Raspberry runs Windows "natively" - as stated in the technical specifications of Affinity applications. This "question" was therefore intended as an "answer", which I assumed the OP would answer himself. Komatös Posted December 1, 2024 Posted December 1, 2024 @earl_grey Window 64 for ARM runs, but not with high performance and applications such as Affinity Photo or Designer bring the little computing dwarf to the brink of a CPU infarction. I had already tried it myself on a Raspi 5. But it was not possible to work properly with it. In short, the project was a waste of time. And with less than 4 GB RAM, WoA refuses to install!
