I think it just got turned off with the update to 15.1.

  1. Choose System Settings > General > Login Items & Extensions
  2. Click Quick Look at the bottom
  3. Reselect QuickLookShareExtension and ThumbnailShare Extension for each app
  4. Restart macOS

Thanks, yes I have them checked. Your fix works for the 15.1 issue, but looking back at the other thread, the small thumbnails appear to be a separate issue.

Lots to follow today.

My little Finder thumbnails were all gone but they're all back now. I don't know what to suggest. I can't say for certain that turning on the Quick Look extensions solved it or whether it was time or the reboot, but I have no issues now.

There is nothing in my QuickLook list so, I cannot change anything. I restarted my Mac, deleted the Affinity Photo Beta 2.6 app. and reinstalled it. I restarted my Mac again. And there still no thumbnails. Am I missing something?

Hi @Ben17,
Welcome to Affinity Forums :)
We're still working on the QuickLook extensions, which aren't functioning at the moment. I've updated the existing report, and the Affinity Info Bot will post a notification in this thread as soon as the QuickLook preview issue is resolved.

The icon thumbnails are now working as intended, showing a small preview of the file contents instead of the generic app icon.

Thank you for your feedback!

I think honestly that for the thumbnails it's ok, for the quicklook preview, and since you guys are rewriting this it could be much better. I just think that for graphic design apps the quicklook preview is not acceptable sorry, a blurried image couldn't be what we get. Every other app i have in my machine produces a crisp clean quicklook preview, some of them produces almost a full screen high quality preview, and what we have from design apps is a blurried preview, sorry but you guys need to do it better. @Patrick Connor

Unfortunately not seeing improvement from beta, other than page shape with QL. (I did the following: Installed 2.5.6 for all, deleted betas, activated new quicklook extensions, and then rebooted.)
