Revellution Posted July 3, 2016 Posted July 3, 2016 First of a few bugs I've found whilst using the software for the last few days. Will list the others in individual topics as requested. Issue: When I select a layer in the layer panel, then use the slider to reduce the opacity, it works fine. However, when I try moving the opacity slider back to 100%, the layer remains the same (transparent) or does not return back to 100% opacity despite the slider saying it is at 100%. If I then click on another layer and then back on the same layer, it shows the opacity at 90% for example. If I move the slider back to 100% again, it does not change the opacity again. The only way around this to get it back to 100 opacity is to type it in to the dialogue box.
Ken Cope Posted July 3, 2016 Posted July 3, 2016 Hi Revellution, I'm not seeing this here, Opacity is working as expected here whether it's on Layers or objects using the slider or drop down menu. Revellution Posted July 3, 2016 Author Posted July 3, 2016 Could be my computer then. Encountered a few small issues like this.
IBMc Posted July 13, 2016 Posted July 13, 2016 Hi RevellutionIt is not just your computer, I have the same issue and behaviour. As you can see on the screenshot the Opacity slider is set to 100% for the green rectangle layer but the rectangle remains semi-transparent.
BobsDaubs Posted July 13, 2016 Posted July 13, 2016 I have the same issue too. Sometimes I have to adjust the layer opacity 3 or 4 times before I get it to 100%. iMac (24 inch, M1, 8 cores, 16 GB Memory, 2021) iPad Pro 12.9", 3rd Generation
benthai Posted July 13, 2016 Posted July 13, 2016 I too had the same issue set opacity at 100% but was not and got better result scrolling with my mouse to finally get the full opacity. Testing Affinity Designer Beta 1.5.0.11
Stephene Posted July 13, 2016 Posted July 13, 2016 I've had an issue with this on the 1.5.0.5 build as well. Setting opacity on an object isn't always working so I have to set on the layer. In the prior build it only worked if I used the slider, the 10% incremental drop down menu did nothing even if it was on 10% it will still full 100% Coming from Illustrator and doing mostly web work, I really am in love Affinity Designer and can't wait for Photo. Then with this a product from another company I'll be able to move aware from Adobe's creative suite finally for my needs.
Staff Pauls Posted July 14, 2016 Staff Posted July 14, 2016 This has been reported - does seem to take a couple of goes of selecting and typing in 100% for the setting to stick
Staff AdamW Posted July 27, 2016 Staff Posted July 27, 2016 I saw a fix for this go in this morning. If you still have problems after the next update please let us know :) Mark Ingram 1
