Benchmark results v25000

Recommended Posts

Please share screenshots of your 25000 series benchmarks here and I'll add them to comparison table below to assist those considering upgrading their systems determine what benefit they might see. Note that you can't compare a benchmark from 2.5 to one run in a previous version.

If you previously shared a 25000 series benchmark in another thread, I'll find those and add them to the table so no need to post them again.

How to run the benchmark: It is a best practice to first quit other applications that might be doing something in the background. To run the benchmark, open Affinity Photo 2.5.x and with no documents open, choose Help > Benchmark, and click Run Benchmark. On iPad, tap Settings, Benchmark, and Run Benchmark. Don't do anything else until it the Run Benchmark button has become enabled again. After it has completed, take a screenshot and share it here.

Please state your Mac or iPad model/year (and the number of cores if not the base model) or Windows CPU and GPU.

Thank you

Table updated 24 Nov 2024

Thank you. I also should have asked if you have more than the base number of cores since that affects the results. I believe the options for your model are 9 cores (base) or 10 cores (optional).

@Gary: impressive.

I still use the iPad pro 2018, with a predecessor of the M1 chip, and even this runs real fast.

Hmmm... if i think back what I did with the Affinity suite in the last 2 years, I believe I overwhelmingly used it only for benchmarks... ;-)

I like to photograph but vey seldom edit them, only some basic adjustment which is done by the Apple "Photos" App on the Mac. My most used feature in Affinity Photo was the fog remover for landscapes.

This comparison table won't be useful until we have more data, so please continue to share benchmarks from 2.5. We need a wide variety of systems to make this work.

For those unfamiliar with the benchmark, it's not entirely clear what each of the values mean, other than of course that higher is better.

For Mac users like me who disable Metal to improve stability, you'll need to enable Metal before running the benchmark or else the GPU scores will be blank.

[EDIT: table removed, see the updated table in the first post of this thread]

Thanks, I've corrected it.

You might want to remove or edit the broken system in your signature, I thought you meant only its graphic card was broken.
