Edit Text Style issues

Recommended Posts

The text style editor is rather broken in beta 2430.

  1. Restart Publisher
  2. Create a new document with the default styles
  3. Edit Heading 1 - do nothing and click Cancel
  4. Edit Body - note that it says Heading 1 at the top and that Next=Body and Next level=Heading 2, showing values for Heading 1. But the style summary shows Base + Font Size 12 which is Body.
  5. Click Font on the left - it shows 12 so now it's showing Body's attributes.
  6. Click Style on the left - it shows Body's attributes except for the style name.
  7. Change something like Font Family and click OK you'll probably get an alert telling you that the style is already in use, it's trying to create a new style. The workaround is to manually re-type the style name.
  8. Close the document and create another. Edit a different style this time - the values shown in the editor in the previous document, including the style name and font family, will be shown for this other style in a new document. This is why I restarted Publisher in step 1.

I can confirm that I see the issue on macOS but not on Windows.
