Compare the OP's initial screenshot of the wanted goal with the different rendering of your workaround: every of the 6 characters has another look. I have tested so far Photoshop, GIMP, CorelPHOTO-PAINT (both Windows and macOS), and Acorn. All these apps also can fetch hinted versions of glyphs (e.g. TrueType hints for 2 and 5 for LiSu), but more generally: they do non-antialiased rendering identically for any fonts I have tested, whether hinted or not, whether TrueTypes or PostScript based outlines. Affinity apps basically just turn on all antialiased pixels above certain threshold: ...and here is how it is done in Acorn (and PS, CorelPHOTO-PAINT and GIMP, and...): antialiasing_off_acorn.mp4 5.19 MB · 0 downloads Does this mean Affinity has issues with its core design? I hope to use Affinity to truly replace Photoshop. Although Affinity currently does not have any AI tools like Photoshop, that is not necessary, but the display issue is very serious. Quote

As other users have confirmed above, this feature is simply not directly present in Affinity currently. You can create a new Feedback post if you want these options to be considered in the future.
