wintermute
In preflight AP warning that linked resource is missed when resource is embedded. And I see there now is no option for link the file in any way…
walt.farrell
I'm not sure what you mean, @wintermute. Can you explain a bit further? When a resource is Embedded, it is part of the main document, and does not need to be checked to see if it is missing as it's present, by definition. But you should be able to change it to a Linked resource using the Resource Manager, in most cases that I've seen. If that's not possible for you, could you give us more details? Staff NathanC Posted March 8 Staff Share Posted March 8 Hi @wintermute, Is the Preflight panel Check set to 'Live'? If the Preflight panel is not live and a linked resource error was previously flagged on a manual check which has since been corrected it won't update until you either do another manual check or set it to Live. If it is already Live, we'll need some more details as Walt has mentioned above.

It would also be better if you used the abbreviation "APub" in the future if you want to point to Affinity Publisher in your posts. It is common practice on the forum to use abbreviations such as: APh for Affinity Photo ADe for Affinity Designer APub for publisher Affinity In this current case, it is not a problem to guess that it was Publisher on your mind because that is the only one that has Preflight Panel. But there are things that are shared between those three apps (APh, ADe, APub) and in that case it would cause confusion. BTW, If you haven't noticed yet, they are automatically recognized as abbreviations and when you hover over them, the appropriate description appears. AP is recognized as Affinity Photo, so using that instead of APub or APu is a particularly bad idea. AD is fine for Affinity Designer.
