walt.farrell Posted June 26, 2023 Posted June 26, 2023 Which Store did you install Photo 2 from? If you installed, for example, from the Mac App Store or the Microsoft Store, then updates are controlled via your settings in that Store app. Quote -- Walt Designer, Photo, and Publisher V1 and V2 at latest retail and beta releases PC: Desktop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 64GB memory, AMD Ryzen 9 5900 12-Core @ 3.00 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Laptop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 32GB memory, Intel Core i7-10750H @ 2.60GHz, Intel UHD Graphics Comet Lake GT2 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU. Staff stokerg Posted June 26, 2023 Staff Posted June 26, 2023 Hi @Mr Lucky, As you've not got the 'Check For Updates' option on the menu, you will have purchased Affinity Photo from the Mac App Store. Make sure you are signed into the app store using the same Apple ID you purchased Affinity under and you should then be able to download the update. Quote

If in fact you bought AP V2 from the Affinity store, there should be a "Check For Updates" item in the "Affinity Photo 2" application menu (the menu just to the right of the Apple menu. There also should be a "Check for Updates" item in Preferences > Software Update that allows you to set how often it should check for updates. The choices are daily, weekly, monthly, & never. If set to never, you will have to use the menu to do that. If you do not see this menu item then you bought AP 2 from the Mac App Store. Yes it looks like I did, however it didn't show up in list of apps needing an update like other apps do when they need an update , I had to search for it then there is a download button. Quote

That happened to me on occasion & I also had to search for it to get an update/download button. For some with that issue, logging out & back into your Apple ID account fixes it, but it did not for me.
