ch22
I am afraid there is an issue in the command Show Others in the Layer menu. Please open the enclosed TIFF picture; it is made of 5 pixel layers, each with a single horizontal color band. Select the middle layer (blue), open the Layer Menu and choose Hide Others. Only the blue band is left. Now, reopen the menu and choose Show Others. The whole picture should be displayed again but it does not always. I made two trials with Windows machines (including laptop of mine under Windows 11) and it does not (the two bottom layers are missing). Under MacOS, I met the same surprise with my personal computer (Mac Pro, BigSur OS) but another attempt with a Mac Mini under Monterey OS was correct. bug-test.tif
Ron P.
I can confirm this. However I'm thinking it has to do with screen re-draw. After doing the Show-Others, zooming out or in, even just a little, the rest appear. 2023-05-27 13-00-16.mp4 Quote Affinity Photo 2.5..; Affinity Designer 2.5..; Affinity Publisher 2.5..; Affinity2 Beta versions. Staff NathanC Posted May 30, 2023 Staff Share Posted May 30, 2023 Hi @ch22, As Ron mentioned, this is a re-draw issue affecting the layers below in the stack, zooming in/out will correctly draw the objects in again. This is something that has been previously logged with the developers, i've now bumped it with your report. 🙂
walt.farrell
I was about to report this again. But I see it's already known. Still an issue in 2.2.0.1931, by the way. bbrother
The latest update 2.3 did not resolve this issue. Any progress on resolving the redraw bug? I would like to point out that this is a very simple but useful function. Quote "The only ways to avoid bugs and the time spent on fixing them are to write better code" — bbrother. This issue is still outstanding internally, i've updated the issue to reflect that it's still an issue in 2.3 and bumped it with your report.
