Affinity Designer 2, todays latest version

I have tried multiple things to no avail (expand, convert to curves, etc).  What do I have to do to get the interior outlines of a typeface to stroke properly when I export to an .eps file? This is for Keynote so I can't use an svg. Funny . . . Apple abandons eps files for svg  in the macOS but Keynote still uses eps files. TIA

I would hope that the file could remain as an editable typeface so that it could be duplicated easily without have to do redo all the steps for each number I create

Photo V1

I just used the Art text tool for the 59
Switched to the quick shape tool which happened to be a rectangle
Deleted the fill, added a stroke
The eps is fine and the original stays editable in terms of characters and font face

Sorry if I'm dense here. I tried this in designer with the art text tool and the inside stroke of the 9 still won't export to eps. It won't export to svg either. What is this quick shape tool you're mentioning? No such tool shows up by that name. I'll repeat what I've done with the art text tool and see if something works . . . thanks

Maybe the official term is geometric shapes but clicking it exposes fill & stroke on the context bar which works well on text
Did you try my file and does that fail too?

your file was a photo file and not designer. EPS files from photo don't support transparency

I understand that files from any of the programs open in the other two just the same

Here's my eps opened in Photoshop with a fill layer underneath

Again I am working in Designer, not Photo. I don't use Photoshop anymore. Photo cannot export a transparent eps file. The stroke of the hole in the nine will not export to eps or svg, no matter what I do, even though the hole is transparent. This is a png file exported from designer . . .

Not a solution, but maybe a workaround if you are in a hurry: Try another font.
It may be something in the way the font outlines are coded.

Probably not of much help fo you but I downloaded the fifty9.afphoto file @David in Яuislip uploaded, opened it in the just released AD V2.1.0 version, & exported it without issues to eps as fifty9.eps 

Note that I do not have the Berlin Sans font he used so that may be part of why this is working for me but not you.

RCR  - FWIW when I place the file in Keynote the text has no color. I've included the files. Perhaps the font is screwy but I'm not going to change it. I will use transparent pngs if I have to . . .

Do you mean it is invisible, has no stroke/outline or fill color, or what?

@kanihoncho: I'm curious why your file is acting that way. I installed your font, and opened your file, and when I try to Export as an EPS file, the Export Preview shows this, with the error:

On the other hand, I created a new file, created my own Artistic Text 59 of the same size, also using White for the letter, and a black stroke (font size and stroke size identical to yours), and I get this correct Preview when I go to Export it:

I have no idea what the difference might be.

I somehow was able to do this correctly once but was unable to recreate it. I went to transparent pngs . . Thanks for trying.
