laotze Posted March 10, 2023 Posted March 10, 2023 (edited) Attempting to copy and paste even small tables in Publisher 2 doesn’t work most of the time. Most often, the table appears distorted, semi-visible, and unselectable, as in the attached screenshot. They also don’t typically paste anywhere near my mouse or target location. Frequently, pasting a table just causes the app to crash. Even when a table does paste, it rarely matches the dimensions of the original table, and all its columns and rows must be manually resized. As someone who uses Publisher heavily for TTRPG projects—which are very table-dependent—this is a major impediment to workflow. I am running the latest app version 2.0.4 on MacOS Monterey. Thanks for your time! Edited March 10, 2023 by laotze Duplicate image Quote

shardy Posted October 31, 2023 Posted October 31, 2023 I have a table I can no longer edit on my Mac using the latest version of Publisher. Downloaded just today. It is no longer clickable at all, and I'm not done entering data into it. Very frustrating. I may have to find another way to to this. It wasn't pasted in either. I just dragged the table tool to create it, and was entering data. I clicked away to do something else, and now clicking on the table with any tool has no effect. I can't move it. I can't add more text or merge or divide cells. Nothing. Quote
Hangman Posted October 31, 2023 Posted October 31, 2023 Hi @shardy and welcome to the forums, Are you able to upload your Publisher document or at least the page that includes your table so we can take a look at why it's become non-editable for you? Hangman Posted October 31, 2023 Posted October 31, 2023 Hi @shardy, Many thanks for the file... If you unlock the table in the Layers panel by clicking the padlock icon on the table layer you should be good to go... shardy Posted October 31, 2023 Posted October 31, 2023 Looks like I need to be more careful where I randomly click or what keys I hit. <grin> Thanks! I love the responsiveness of this group. Hangman 1 Quote
