Old Bruce Posted February 20, 2023 Posted February 20, 2023 When I open a raw file (Canon .CR2) and hit the Cancel button there is no longer a warning about Cancelling a Development, I just wind up in the Photo Persona with the file supposedly developed. If I close the window (using the consolidated window here) by using Command + W the file just closes, no asking about Saving. This is with all three options, Embedded, Linked or Pixel for the processing. Doesn't matter if I make some or no adjustments. I can subsequently save the opened (but not processed with any of the adjustments made before cancelling) image. walt.farrell Posted February 20, 2023 Posted February 20, 2023 Seems to work normally on Windows. (At least with NEF files.) walt.farrell Posted February 20, 2023 Posted February 20, 2023 However, I see the same behavior for cancelling (no warning) on iPad as you do on Mac, @Old Bruce. Staff Chris B Posted February 23, 2023 Staff Posted February 23, 2023 I personally prefer the way macOS handles it. I'd much prefer a raw file to close as long as I haven't modified it. This would work well with Close All - I open 50 raws a day to test files and it drives me nuts having to confirm the closure of an unedited raw file. That seems wrong, unless the file had been previously Developed and he had then switched to the Develop Persona manually after that. I am not seeing the closing of the raw file(s). I still have to chose File > Close or Command + W to close the raw file after hitting the Cancel button in the Develop Persona. MikeTO Posted February 24, 2023 Posted February 24, 2023 I couldn't care less whether the file is closed or not after I cancel Develop as long as that alert doesn't appear for files I haven't made changes to. What difference would you expect between pressing Develop and Cancel if the image ends up in the Photo Persona no matter which you press?
