comparing styles of 2 curves

Recommended Posts

Not sure that is what I need but I created two curves and they seem to be identical, both 0.1 pt stroke, every other setting I can see seems to be the same but one is visibly thinner than the other (as if it was a different stroke size). how do I find the difference between the two?

The number for the stroke is a rounded up figure, so the two stroke may actually be different widths. Go to Preferences > User Interface and change the decimal places to a max of six places to see if there is a variation.

For resized objects it also may depend where you read the value. If "Scale with object" is ticked in the Stroke panel than AD's Appearance panel will show an unexpected / unreal value for scaled objects …

… while unticking this checkbox updates the value immediately:

Unfortunately there is no way to make it display the true value respectively display the applied scale factor anywhere and reset the value after scaling as new 100% to handle and display it as unscaled.

Has this been reported as a bug? It is the same in AD V2 as it is in V1.

I don't know. (… and wouldn't wonder if it gets interpreted as 'by design', a feature to indicate the scaled state of an object) :234_unicorn:

This old thread possibly mentioned it, unfortunately since the forum changes for V2 we are no longer allowed to read archived / beta threads:

If you like to check, @Paul Mc listed in two V1 threads a few more issues concerning the Appearance panel which got logged by Dan C as bugs or at least as improvements, possibly for V2:
