[Archive] bug forums :: hidden on purpose?

Recommended Posts

Since the V2 forums re-organisation I notice that some older threads aren't visible any more. Because they still show up in forums search results I wonder whether there is "just" a missing adjustment in their URL. It appears all those former forums that used to have a sub-forum archive link on top of the bug forums are currently inaccessible.

Especially for reported bugs, their disappearance does not seem to make sense, as many of the V1 problems have not been solved although V1 bugs have been given a new forum, or they also still occur in V2.

A click on an [Archive] link in the search now results in an error message, inviting me to "Contact Us" in the forum for instance:

I think they hid the v1 beta forum while the v1 bug report forum is still available. I'm not saying whether or not that's a good thing, but I think that's what happened.
