trouble selecting multiple nodes in Designer 2

I must be doing something wrong because I can't select nodes in Designer 2 using the node tool by dragging to create a marque selection. What's the problem?

Your object needs to be converted to curves.

Hi chillywilly!

You have to convert the shape into curves before you can select nodes, because shape objects don't have nodes. So rightclick on the shape and click "Convert to Curves".

Ok. And what about line ends? They are already simple curves (in fact, they can't be converted). Yet, there is no way to select the end of multiple lines by dragging with either the Move or the Node tool.

 

EDIT: Ok, found it by trials and errors. With the Move tool, I selected all the layers. Then switched to the Node tool, and the end of the horizontal lines was already marked red. I dragged, and selected them. Then, still with the Node tool, could change their position.

Thank you @v_kyr, it's exactly how I discovered it works.

I must admit not to find it particularly intuitive, nor handy. Even adding a shortcut while dragging would make it incredibly much faster.
