lenght in transformation

Hey, 

I am looking for the Option to set the lenght in transformation. the option is available on desktop. could not find it on ipad.

Width and height of an object can be set in the Transform panel. Is that what you’re looking for?

No it ist not what I‘m looking for. I can not set the lenght of a diagonal line. at the moment i need to draw it horizontally or vertically and then set an angle.

That’s done in the Transform panel that I mention in my previous comment. Select the Move Tool, select the layer in the Layers Panel, and you can set the length or rotate the line.

sorry but you missunderstood

I know that i can cange the with or hight. i want to specify the lenght of a line thats across the document.

i.e.: a line from bottom left to top right might have a hight of 5 and a with of 7 but its actual lenght can‘t be set on ipad, but I can on desktop. on desktop in the transformation panel is an option to set the lenght.

It is not available on the iPad.From the Affinity Store, under Designer Tech Specs, Full Feature List (with my emphasis)

Strangely enough, if you draw a rectangle roughly then set it at an angle you can then set the dimensions exactly to say 200 x 1 which is similar to having a line length 200 at whatever angle you like, if you don’t mind the overhead of using very thin rectangles rather than a single line.🤪

Or perhaps you could draw a rectangle of the proper size and orientation, convert to curves, break them apart so you have individual lines, and delete the lines you don't need

Yes, it is daft isn’t it that this feature is missing on the iPad as the functionality to measure an object when at an angle is clearly there to do it.

I second your request.

Even the essential command to cycle the bounding box is present on iPad- it only forgets to switch the values shown in transform panel. This i rate as bug.
