carl123 Posted August 22, 2023 Posted August 22, 2023 Can't you just.... Select the Adjustment LayerLayer > Invert (Ctrl+I) Windows shortcut, may be CMD on a Mac Quote To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum. j3rry Posted August 22, 2023 Posted August 22, 2023 Works with the retail and the beta on my Mac. I tried with layer masks and adjustment layer masks. Quote 24" iMAC Apple M1 chip, iPad Air 11", MACOS Sonoma & iPadOS, Affinity V2-Universallizenz
j3rry Posted August 22, 2023 Posted August 22, 2023 (edited) There is a difference between masking and clipping and it seems that the wrong is used. Staff MEB Posted August 22, 2023 Staff Posted August 22, 2023 2 hours ago, Red Sands said: What am I doing wrong here? You are using a pixel layer as a mask there. What you want is to use an actual mask layer, so after dragging the rectangle to the mask position in the Layers panel, right-click the rectangle layer and select Rasterise to Mask to actually turn it into a mask layer. You can then use the cmd+I shortcut to invert the mask. Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
